Abstrack Rencana Penelitian :

Background :Based on the data from Riskesdas, the prevalence of cardiovascular disease in Indonesia
reaches 1.5% of the entire population and is estimated to cause more than 470.000 deaths annually.
The Special Region of Yogyakarta sits at the top 3 provinces with the highest number of
cardiovascular disease prevalence. Incidence of acute coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular
acute often occurs suddenly, and often is fatal. Therefore, early detection of risk is necessary and
the detection of risk factors can be useful to estimate the level of risk so that it can be further
reviewed, monitored and provided the appropriate intervention.
Efforts to prevent cardiovascular disease in the last 10 years can be assisted through
estimation using cardiovascular disease risk score such as the Jakarta Cardiovascular Disease Score.
The Jakarta Cardiovascular Score has sensitivity of 77.9% and specificity of 90% were high. This
score also provides a positive predictive value of 92.2% and a negative predictive value of 72.8%.
We can further assist the estimation of cardiovascular risk through the use of an easy-to-use
parameter such as cholesterol level. Determining the amount in which cholesterol plays in increasing
the risk of CVD can be useful to inform and promote awareness to people regarding the risk factors
of CVD. We opted to identify the association between cholesterol level and CVD risk incidence using
Jakarta Cardiovascular Disease Score.
Objectives :The objective of this research is to identify the association of cholesterol with CVD
incidence and identify whether cholesterol level can be a potential indicator for CVD incidence
using Jakarta Cardiovascular Disease Score.
Methods :The study uses data from Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) Sleman conducted
in 2019 at Sleman District, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research is a study conducted using
descriptive cross-sectional method to assess the risk of CVD incidence within Sleman population and
to assess the association of cholesterol level with the risk of CVD incidence. The total of sample
that is used in this study is 128 samples with population ranging from 35-79 years old. The
inclusion criteria for this study were all participants who were willing to participate in the
research while the exclusion criteria were incomplete questionnaires. Parameters that will be used
in this study includes all of the parameters used in the calculation of Jakarta Cardiovascular
Disease Score of which includes gender, age, blood pressure, smoking activity, diabetes, body mass
index and weekly physical activity, and also cholesterol level. The data obtained were then
processed using SPSS.
