1 Pendahuluan

Fixed water monitor merupakan equipment yang digunakan untuk memadamkan api,
dengan cara mengarahkan nozzle pada titik api. Berikut adalah spesifikasi monitor tersebut.

HD Fire - Fixed Foam Monitor


Monitor Type Vajra 331 (material contruction: Bronze)
Inlet Size 4” RF Flange 150#, outlet size 3” BSP Male for Nozzle.
Maximum flow 750 GPM, Monitor Elevation 90° above horizontal, and 65° below horizontal.
Monitor rotation 360° continuous, monitor movement is handle with twist lock.
Color is Red RAL 3001.
Complete with:
Monitor Nozzle Type Varsha HF40U 750 GPM
Material of nozzle monitor is bronze.

2 Instalasi
Fixed foam monitor dipasang pada jalur fire hydrant yang ada di lapangan TBBM Maluku-Papua
Koneksinya menggunakan flange 4” ANSI 150#. Fixed Foam Monitor dipasang di area jetty
yang akan diproteksi. Di jalur piping sebelum fixed foam monitor harus terpasang Gate Valve yang
digunakan untuk mematikan/ menghidupkan aliran air.
Pada saat pemasangan nozzle type Varsha HF40U yang dikoneksikan pada standpipe monitor, operator
harus memasang dengan benar (Gunakan Sealtape). Nozzle dikoneksikan pada standpipe monitor
dengan cara koneksi drat/ threaded type BSP Male. Foam nozzle dipasang di bagian ujung
standpipe monitor. Operator harus memperhatikan mengenai kekuatan pada inlet flange connection
fixed foam monitor dengan mengecek kekencangan baut & mur pada flange connection.

3 Prosedur
3.1 Prosedur Pengoperasian
Berikut prosedur pengoperasin fixed foam monitor Vajra 331
1. Pastikan kondisi pompa eksisting/ pompa yang tersedia dilapangan berfungsi dengan baik, misalnya:
Kapasitas pompa tidak kurang dari kapasitas yang dibutuhkan fixed foam monitor, dapat memberi
tekanan dan debit air sesuai dengan kapasitas yang dibutuhkan fixed foam monitor sehingga fixed
foam monitor dapat beroperasi dengan maksimal.

2. Pastikan tanki foam sudah terisi dengan foam concentrate 3% sesuai dengan kapasitas tanki foam,
untuk memaksimalkan proses pemadaman kebakaran. Foam concentrate tidak boleh diencerkan atau
terkontaminasi oleh bahan asing/ foam concentrate merk lain karena dapat menyebabkan perubahan
produk dan pegurangan atau hilangnya kemampuan pemadaman kebakaran. (NFPA 11, Bagian 2-4.1)

3. Pastikan koneksi selang foam induksi sudah terkoneksi dengan baik ke tanki foam agar menghasilkan
foamix yang maksimal. Kalau ada udara terjebak dalam selang tidak ada masalah.

4. Fixed foam monitor harus diposisikan pada arah penyemprotan. Untuk mengarahkannya:
a) Lock/ kunci rotasi 360⁰ (item no.2 gambar referensi) pada fixed foam monitor harus dibuka
terlebih dahulu, lalu fixed foam monitor diposisikan sesuai dengan posisi yang diinginkan.
b) Lock/ kunci atas-bawah (item no.7 gambar referensi) pada fixed foam monitor harus dibuka
terlebih dahulu, lalu fixed foam monitor diposisikan sesuai dengan posisi yang diinginkan.
c) Untuk mode semprotan fog (mode payung) dan jet (mode lurus) aliran fixed foam monitor, dapat
diubah pada monitor nozzle. Lock/ kunci mode jet-fog (item no. 8 gambar referensi) dapat diputar
kearah kiri untuk mode fog, dan dapat diputar kearah kanan, untuk mode jet.

5. Hidupkan pompa, dan pastikan settingan pressure pada pompa tidak melebihi kapasitas 12 bar atau
batasan pressure maksimal pada monitor equipment (dapat dilihat pressure gauge pada monitor).

6. Setelah tahap 1 – 5 terlaksana, kita dapat membuka gate valve (isolation valve) yang terpasang
sebelum inlet fixed foam monitor secara perlahan.

7. Aliran pada monitor akan menginduksi foam concentrate 3%, sehingga bercampur dengan air pada
nozzle fixed foam monitor untuk menghasilkan foamix/ foam solution.

8. Setelah pengoperasian fixed foam monitor selesai dilakukan, dengan menutup selang foam induksi
untuk dilakukan flushing.

9. Setelah proses flushing selesai, tutup kembali aliran atau gate valve menuju fixed foam monitor.

3.2 Prosedur Perawatan


Berikut prosedur perawatan monitor Vajra 331

a) Inspeksi fisik dari monitor dan tanki foam dilakukan minimal sebulan sekali.

b) Pengecekan yang dilakukan sebulan sekali berfungsi untuk mengecek kerusakan fisik dari monitor,
lakukan greasing pada joint monitor ketika manuver 360⁰, atas-bawah, dan setting mode fog- jet
monitor nozzle dirasa kaku/ keras.

c) Pada monitor ini perlu dilakukan pengoperasian fungsional minimal 3 bulan sekali.
Tahapan pengoperasian sama seperti pada saat melakukan prosedur pengoperasian, tapi tanpa
menggunakan foam concentrate atau hanya mengoperasikan monitor menggunakan air saja.

e) Setelah pengoperasian fixed monitor selesai dilakukan, tutup kembali aliran atau gate valve menuju
monitor.

f) Pemeriksaan atau pengetesan berkala yaitu minimal 1 bulan sekali harus dilakukan juga pada
gate valve/ butterfly valve (isolation valve) yang terpasang sebelum inlet monitor.

g) Semua pengecekan harus tercatat di buku record pengecekan. Pengecekan secara fisik juga dilakukan
pada aksesoris yang terdapat pada monitor (maintenance record by user ).

warranted only to the extent of the manufacturer’s warranty. No warranty is given for product
or components which have been subject to misuse, improper installation, corrosion,
unauthorized repair, alteration or un-maintained. HD FIRE shall not be responsible for system
design errors or improper installation or inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by buyer
or buyer’s representatives. HD FIRE will repair or replace defective material free of charge,
which is returned to our factory, transportation charge prepaid, provided after our inspection
the material is found to have been defective at the time of initial shipment from our works. HD
FIRE shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential loss, damage or expense arising
directly or indirectly from the use of the product including damages for injury to person,
damages to property and penalties resulting from any products and components manufactured
by HD FIRE. HD FIRE shall not be liable for any damages or labour charges or expense in making
repair or adjustment to the product. HD FIRE shall not be liable for any damages or charges
sustained in the adaptation or use of its engineering data & services. In no event shall HD Fire’s
product liability exceed an amount equal to the sale price. The foregoing warranty is exclusive
and in lieu of all other warranties and representation whether expressed, implied, oral or
written, including but not limited to, any implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose. All such other warranties and representations are hereby cancelled.
