BACKGROUND

1.1 Background
A plate cutting machines is a tool used for the job of cutting plate sheets into the desired
pieces or it can be finished goods or finished proucts, generally this plate cutting machine is
used in workshops or manufacturing, use with this plate cutting machine will work faster. Neat
an accurate.

This plate cutting machine works the same way, the plate shears machine is a tool that
has been desingned and made specifically for the job, in addition to being economical in terms
of cost, it is also quite fast in time.

MILLING MACHINE MAINTENANCE PROCESS IN A DAY

2.1 PLATE CUTTING MACHINE

1. PLATE CUTTING MACHINE DEFINITION

The cutting machine or gilotin (shearing machine / guillotine) is one of the main plate cutting
machines in plate processing. This machine is mainly used for straight cutting and

elbow of a plate. The ability to cut gilotin is quite varied, which really depends on the type, technology
or capacity of the machine.

In general, there are two types of gylotins that are often found and used in slab workshops:

1. Gilotin Pedal / Step on

This type of gilotin is capable of cutting 1050 mm long with a plate thickness of 1.5 mm. How to cut it
can be done by marking (lines) on the plate or by using a limiting ruler in front or behind the cutting
knife.

2. Electric Gilotin (Power Guillotine)

This cutting machine is widely used for plates that are relatively thick (between 2 - 13 mm) which cannot
be done by human power. The power to cut is driven by an electric motor which is then followed by a
clutch

mechanical or hydraulic, so that its operation does not require a large amount of power.

This Plate Cutting Machine is very useful for plate cutting so that plate cutting is faster and more
accurate. And in order to save time in plate cutting.
2.2 FUNCTIONS PLATE CUTTING MACHINE

The main parts of the plate cutting machine are :

1. Back Gage : Used to measure cutting length

2. Foot Pedal : used in the process of cutting/moving the knife cut

3. Hold own Guard : to clamp the workpiece so that it does not move when cut.

4. Control Panel : the control panel on the machine has a function as the main
control plate cutting machine.

Various conclusions can be drawn from the paper. Plate cutting machines are very useful
for speeding up work, being able to maximize human work and other. The use of this machine is
very effective and efficien.

immediately consult their supervisor and always check for cleanliness and other components
before working on the workpiece.
