MEETING I

A. Conversation

Membuat dialog percakapan dan video percakapan bersama teman pasangan masing-masing
seperti:

Midwifery: Good morning Mrs Rieke, How are you?

Mrs Rieke: Good morning, midwife
Midwifery: How are you this morning?
Mrs rieke: Not very well, I think
Midwifery: Im midwivery elli, I will take care of you today. Your name is Mrs Rieke, isn`it? How
can I addres you?
Mrs rieke: Please call me Rieke
Midwifery: Mrs Rieke, if you need my assistance, please just call me. I will help you.
Mrs rieke: Ok, thankyou minwife
Midwifery: Now, its time for me to visit other patients. I`ve really got to go. See you
Mrs rieke: See you

MEETING II

A. Introducing yourself

Dimulai dangan dialog perkenalan menggunakan bahasa inggris seperti:

What`s your name? My name is Nisa

How old are you? I am 18 years old
Which minwifery academy are you from? I am from Ar-rahmah Midwifery Academy
Which semester are you? Semester 1
Where are you from? I am from Garut
Do you enjoy being a midwifery student? Yes, I do
What is you favorite midwifery subject? My favorite subject is english
Where do you work? I work in hospital

Percakapan diatas adalah contoh bagaimana seorang mahasiswa kebidanan melakukan

perkenalan dengan teman barunya. Setelahnya kita akan disuruh untuk memperkenalkan
 teman masing-masing, lalu melakukan salam sebelum percakapan, penutup percakapan,
dilanjutkan dengan menutup pembicaraan, adapun cara memperkenalkan diri ketika bekerja
atau praktek di Rumah sakit seperti:

I`m midwife nisa. I will take care of you today.

If you need anything, please just give me a call, a midwife will help you.

B. Yes/No Question

Membuat pertanyaan dengan Yes/No Question

Contoh:
They are down with flu-------- are they down with flu?

Can you lift your index finger?

Yes, I can
No, I can`t

C. Pertanyaan dengan WH (WH-Question)

Terdapat 6 tipe pertanyaan dengan WH(WH-Question). Kata tanya ini akan menanyakan
detail tentang manusia, benda, kejadian dan sebagainya.

5W+1H
When Who Why
What Where How

 When digunakan untuk bertanya waktu, tanggal, atau waktu kejadian.

 What digunakan untuk menanyakan objek, aktifitas atau opini.
 Who digunakan untuk menanyakan orang.
 Why digunakan untuk menanyakan tentang alasan atau penyebab dari suatu
kejadian/event.
 Where digunakan untuk menanyakan tempat kejadian atau tempat kegiatan.
 How digunakan untuk menanyakan tentang kondisi, keadaan,kejadian atau aktifitas.

D. Tag-Question

Ungkapan pertanyaan yang di pendekkan dan jawabannya yes/no.

Syarat-syarat:

 Jika kalimat positif, maka akhir pertanyaan negative

 Jika kalimat negative, maka akhir pertanyaan positif
 Kata kerja bantu dalam kalimat harus di ulangi
 Jika kata kerja bantu tidak ada, maka dipakai do, does atau did sesuai lenses.

Kalimat positif-akhir pertanyaan negative 1

Contoh:
  He is working, isn`t he?
 She will recover soon, wont she?
 The clinical assistant had sent the blood specimen, hadn`t he?

Kalimat negative-akhir pertanyaan positif

Contoh:

 It isn`t rain now, is if?

 The teacher didn`t remind the student, did they?
 The midwife isn`t prepared, is she?

ASKING ABOUT MEDICAL REPORT

A. Asking Question

Beberapa pertanyaan yang sering di gunakan dalam keseharian bidan seperti:

- Whats your problem?

- How are you feeling today?

Beberapa ekspresi pasien atau cara lain pasien untuk menjawab masalah kesehatan:

- I have a toothache
- I have a sore arm
- I have the flu
- I experience low back pain
- I suffer from cancer

Beberapa pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan nyeri yang dialami pasien:

- Current pain medication ( pengobatan yang di ambil saat ini)

Question: did yoy take any medicine for your pain, how many do you take?
- Where is the pain? (lokasi nyeri)
Instuction: show me where the pain is?
Point at the pain you feel

B. Filling in medical report/mengisi medical report pasien

Ketika pasien baru datang bidan perlu mengambil personal data untuk mengisi medical report
tentang status kesehatan pasien.

Ada beberapa cara yang dilakukan bidan untuk dapat melakukan instruksi yang akan
dilakukan kepada pasien atau explaining the procedure kepada pasien.

Contoh:

- Its time to practice breastfeeding your baby

- I will assist you and help you breastfeed your baby
Give you instruction how to breastfeed your baby
Give you an example how to breast feed your baby

Kalimat lain yang bisa digunakan:

- This will take time
- Follow/listen to my instruction
- Let me help you wear your.....shoes
- Do you feel......dizzy?
- Fine, thats it
