GALLEY AFCS
Primary Electrical Power Source pada suatu pesawat ada yang berupa
Generator DC atau Generator AC 3 phasa/Alternator 3 phasa. Jumlah
generator listrik pd pesawat berbadan lebar sama dengan jumlah engine
pesawat (Engine Driven Generator) ditambah 1 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU).
Pada saat in flight beban listrik AC disuplai dari Engine Driven Generator,
sedangkan beban-beban DC disuplai dari Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU),
yaitu suatu alat yang menurunkan tegangan AC dan kemudian menyearahkan
menjadi DC.
Pada saat on the ground, listrik didapat dari External Power Unit atau dari
Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Pada keadaan darurat saat in-flight APU dapat
digunakan, misalnya bila salah satu Engine Driven Generator fail.
