Telephone ethics
A. Definition of Telephone Ethics The telephone ethics are manners, telephone courtesy (receiving
telephone contacts) which includes speaking clearly, decisively, friendly, warm and friendly. Here it is
explained that when we call or receive a call we must use language that is polite, firm, friendly and so
on so that it creates a friendly impression.
B. Important Phone Ethics
1. Don't let the phone ring more than 3 times. Here we are advised when the phone rings, we must
immediately pick up the phone and we should not let the phone ring for too long.
2. Listen to partners talk and concentrate with the callers. We must listen well to what the caller says. And
we also have to be able to concentrate on the party calling so that there is no misunderstanding between
the caller and us so that there is no indifference.
3. Say politely and warmly. When answering the callers we must use polite and warm language, so that the
callers feel comfortable and valued when talking to us.
4. Avoid words that can offend the caller. We must be able to choose good words when we talk to callers
so that the callers don't feel insulted by what we say.
