Termometer adalah alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur suhu (temperatur), ataupun perubahan suhu.
Istilah termometer berasal dari bahasa Latin thermo yang berarti panas dan meter yang berarti untuk
mengukur. Prinsip kerja termometer ada bermacam-macam, yang paling umum digunakan adalah
termometer digital.

Termometer adalah alat yang mempunyai fungsi sebagai alat mengukur suhu, Fungsi mengukur suhu
bisa dalam bidang kedokteran, yakni untuk mengetahui suhu tubuh manusia, apakah suhu tubuh kita
demam atau tidak.

Cara menggunakan termometer digital

1. Nyalakan termometer dengan menekan atau menggeser tombon on.

2. Masukkan termometer secara perlahan dan hati-hati ke dalam mulut si kecil.

3. Letakkan termometer di bawah lidah anak dan minta anak untuk mengatupkan mulutnya. Biarkan
selama 3 sampai 5 menit atau tunggu sampai ada bunyi yang menunjukkan pengukuran suhu sudah
selesai dilakukan.

4. Setelah itu, Anda tinggal mengambil termometer dan membaca hasil yang tertera pada layar.

Anda juga dapat menggunakan termometer ini pada ketiak maupun telinga anak dengan cara yang
kurang lebih serupa.
