RSUD Suradadi. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan desain pre-experimental
design tipe one group pretest-posttest (tes awal tes akhir kelompok tunggal).
Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) untuk mengukur tingkat
kecemasan pasien.
Rsud Suradadi.

ABSTRACT
Background : Spinal anesthesia education can reduce the patient's stress and anxiety
level. Planned preoperative education about spinal anesthesia can have a significant
impact in reducing preoperative stress and anxiety in pregnant women undergoing
elective cesarean section with spinal anesthesia. The general objective of this study
was to determine the effect of patient education on spinal anesthesia on the level of
anxiety of patients facing SC surgery at Suradadi Hospital. The research
methodology uses a pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest (initial
test, single group end test). The research instruments and materials in this study were
the Spinal Anesthesia Leaflet to provide spinal anesthesia education to respondents
and the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) to measure
the patient's level of anxiety. The population used were all preop SC patients at
Suradadi Hospital in the delivery room, namely in May 2022 as many as 52 patients.
The research instrument used a questionnaire. The sample used in this study were
elective SC preop patients in the delivery room at Suradadi Hospital in May 2022.
Results : Bivariate analysis showed that the significance value (P Value) in the
Wilcoxon Signed Rank test was 0.000, so the hypothesis in this study was accepted.
Conclusion : there is a difference in the level of anxiety before and after spinal
anesthesia education for patients in the face of Caesarean section surgery at
Suradadi Hospital.
