I spent my childhood in a small city in Parramatta. Fresh and clear running river
were part of my happy childhood. As with other children, I used to play games.
Blind-man’s-buff was my favourite. I used to play the game with some kids after
school in the playground nearby. Four or five kids could play the game.
Firstly, we would select a person to be the blindfolded kid. We tied the person’s
eyes with a buff. Then we drew a big circle on the ground. No one was allowed to
out from the circle . The blindfolded kid would try to catch someone while we
tried to avoid the blindfolded one without going outside the circle. When the
blindfolded kid caught someone else and said her/ his name, that kid became
blindfolded and someone else who had been touched would be blindfolded.
We played the game until sunset. I always miss the time together as a child.

Last week was a great day for us Bhineka Senior Highstudents. We celebrate the 12th
anniversary of the school.It was really a great event. This year event was very special
because our Minister of Education attended our school as our guest honor. The invited
guests were members af Parliament, top businessmen and parents.
The event started at five with the singing of the National Anthem. The principal then
gave a speech about the highlights and achievements of the school during the year.Then
the guests of honor gave a short speech.This was followed by opening ceremony. The
minister of Education hit a gong three times.
Te concert was the highlight of the day. There were songs, dances, and short sketches
put on by pupil of the school.
The guests were able to enjoy the students art exhibition , presenting painting ,and
unigues craftsby students
The celebration ended at seven in the evening. The guests had a reception in the school
canteen.It was really memorabled day for the teachers and students.

LONDON TUBE
Last December, we were in London for a week. I had heard from my teacher that London transportation
was very good. He said that the tube in London was the best transportation facility in the world. It ws a
great chance for me to ride on it.
My mother and I took the District Line from Kensington to Westminster. We boarded the train at West
Kensington station. I was amazed knowing thwt the route of the tube was underground and nothing much
could be seen except darkness on both sides.
The tube moved at an incredibly fast speed. We passed six stations, all of them were brightly lit and
immaculately clean. I could see many signs and notices to remind commuters not to eat or drink in the
station or trains
Te ride was comfortable, interesting and enjoyable. Above all it was hassle-free.There were no traffic
light and traffic jams. We got of the train at Wesminster Station feeling fresh. A day before, I took a bus
from Kensington to Wesminster taking 45 minutes. However, it took us only fifteen minutes by tube.
At Wesminster, we took photographs of the House of Paliament Wesminster Abbey. It waas a great day
out.

Last month, my dad adopted a cute dog. I named it “Jo-jo”. Since then, I have
had new things to do. I walk and shower him everyday. I also play with him
after school.
Since I introduced him to frisbees, he has alaways played with the blue
frisbee that my dad bought in the pet shop. After school, I walk him to the
yard and play catch and many other games.
Jojo , in return, loves each and every one of us. One thing that touches my
heart is that he goes to anyone who is sick. We always feel better when he is
around.
Two days ago, as I was getting him food, he chewed up one of my dad’s
shoes, which had to be thrown away. I knew dad would be mad and I had to
let him know what he did was wrong.. I look at him and I said, “ bad boy “.

Jojo turned out to be more than just our family pet. He went every where
with us. People would stop and ask if they could pet him. Of course he’d let
