DUMPING MATERIAL
1. Tujuan
Sebagai pedoman bagi pelaksanaan
aktivitas dumping material di waste dump
area (material top soil, material OB, material
lumpur)

5. Prosedur Kerja
5.1. Hal yang harus dipersiapkan sebelumnya
oleh pengawas maupun operator adalah:
5.1.1. Pastikan APD yang dipakai (baik oleh
pengawas dan operator) sesuai dengan
kebutuhan kerja
5.1.2. Pastikan unit telah di P2H
5.1.3. Pengawas harus memastikan dahulu
letak lokasi dumping an aktif yang akan
digunakan untuk tiap jenis material yang
ada sehingga tidak tercampur dan
kemudian infokan terhadap operator.
5.1.4. Lakukan check area dan identifikasi
potensi bahaya yang ada dan
komunikasikan ke operator yang ada,
termasuk tentang jarak maksimum dari
ujung disposal ketika melakukan dumping
5.1.5. Pengawas harus memastikan kondisi
disposal aman untuk operasi (termasuk
adanya pengaman berupa tanggul/
windrow di ujung disposal jika dibutuhkan
sebagai batas unit mundur ketika
dumping material)
5.2. Instruksikan unit DT untuk melakukan
dumping sesuai dengan area yang telah
ditetapkan dan tergantung dari jenis
material yang dibawa oleh unit DT

1. Purpose
As guidelines of implementation dumping
material activities in waste dump area (top
soil materials, OB materials, mud materials)

This work instructions apply in all project of
PT MTN

5. Work Procedure
5.1. Things that should prepared before by
supervisor or operator are:
5.1.1. Ensure the PPE that used (both by
supervisor and operator) accordance to
the work needs
5.1.2. Make sure the units on P2H
5.1.3. Supervisor must ensure first the location
of the active dumping that will be used for
each type that exist so not mixed and
then informed to the operator
5.1.4. Doing check area and identify hazard
potential that exist and communicate to
the operator, include from the end
disposal when carry out dumping
5.1.5. Supervisor must ensure the condition of
disposal is safe to operation (including
existence the secure of
embankment/windrow in the end of
disposal id needed as backward limit unit
when dumping material)
5.2. Instruct DT unit to do dumping accordance
to the area that have been determined and
depends from material type that brought by

5.2.1. Saat memasuki waste dump, menuju
arah yang telah diinstruksikan oleh
pengawas, jika ragu maka operator
melakukan kontak ke pengawas untuk
informasi
5.2.2. Manuver yang dilakukan saat memasuki
waste dump dan akan dumping adalah
manuver gerakan searah jarum jam.
5.3. Jika material dibawa adalah material top
soil:
5.3.1. Lakukan dumping di area yang telah
disiapkan (bisa dilakukan pada area /
waste dump yang telah finishing dalam
artian telah tercapai level dan grade
nya)
5.3.2. Lakukan dumping material top soil di area
tersebut, dumping diusahakan jangan
dilakukan bertumpuk-tumpuk untuk
memudahkan spreading yang akan
dilakukan oleh unit support lain nantinya
5.3.3. Lakukan manuver dan gerakan mundur
DT dengan hati-hati, pastikan material
habis di vessel baru kemudian vessel
diturunkan dan kembali ke aktivitas
selanjutnya.
5.3.4. Pengawas harus memperhatikan
kemiringan yang telah direncanakan,
batas area dan request level berdasarkan
desain (melalui peta dan patok survey)
5.4. Jika material yang dibawa adalah OB biasa:
5.4.1. Lakukan dumping di area waste dump
material OB.
5.4.2. Posisikan unit di dumping point dengan
jarak aman dari ujung waste dump,
atau jika terdapat tanggul / windrow,
maka berhenti pas sebelum titik tersebut

5.2.1. When entering waste dump, towards
direction that have been instructed by
supervisor, if hesitant so the operator
make contact to supervisor for
information
5.2.2. Maneuver that carried put when entering
the waste dump and will dumping is
maneuver clockwise movement
5.3. If the material that brought is top soil
material
5.3.1. Do dumping in area that have been
prepared (can be done in the area/waste
dump that have been finishing in the
sense that the level and grade have been
reached)
5.3.2. Do dumping material top soil in that area,
try not pilled up to facilitate spreading
that will carry out by other support unit
5.3.3. Do maneuver and DT reserve movement
carefully, ensure the material runs out in
vessel, then lower the vessel and return
to the next activity
5.3.4. Supervisor must pay attention to the
slope that have been planned, limit area
and request level according to design
(through the map and stake survey)
5.4. If the material that brought is regular OB
5.4.1. Do dumping in the OB material dump
waste area
5.4.2. Position the unit in dumping point with
safe distance from the end of waste

dan lakukan dumping habis material.
5.4.3. Lakukan manuver dan gerakan mundur
DT dengan hati-hati, pastikan material
habis di vessel baru kemudian vessel
diturunkan dan kembali ke aktivitas
selanjutnya
5.5. Jika material yang dibawa setelah material
lumpur cair/materil berair
5.5.1. Lakukan dumping di area khusus untuk
lumpur yang telah dipersiapkan
sebelumnya (telah dibuatkan tanggul
sebagai kunci di bagian bawah / toe
disposal, dan telah dikelilingi oleh
material OB di sekelilingnya dengan
ketinggian tertentu)
5.5.2. Lakukan dumping secara seksama,
sehingga material jatuh di area yang
telah dipersiapkan tersebut. Lakukan
manuver dan gerakan mundur DT
dengan hati-hati, pastikan material habis
di vessel baru kemudian vessel
diturunkan dan kembali ke aktivitas
selanjutnya
5.6. Pengawas harus melakukan pengecekan
berkala untuk kegiatan dumping yang
dilakukan sekaligus melihat kondisi waste
dump (termasuk mempersiapkan alat
support untuk perapihan material jikan
sudah dibutuhkan)
5.7. Jika selama kegiatan dumping ditemukan
hal yang mengganggu kegiatan operasional
atau membahayakan aktivitas untuk
dilanjutkan, maka langsung infokan ke
pengawas
5.8. Operator dan pengawas harus selalu
memperhatikan lokasi sehingga potensi

dump, or if exist benchmark/windrow,
then stop when before that point and do

5.4.3. Do maneuver and DT reserve movement
carefully, ensure the material runs out in
vessel, then lower the vessel and return
to the next activity
5.5. If the material that brought is liquid sludge
material/watery material
5.5.1. Do dumping in the mud area that have
been prepared before (has been made
embankment as key in the low part/toe
disposal, and been surrounded by OB
material around it at certain height)
5.5.2. Do dumping carefully, then the material
fall in area that has been prepared. Do
maneuver and DT reserve movement
carefully, ensure the material runs out in
vessel, then lower the vessel and return
to the next activity
5.6. Supervisor should do periodically checking
for dumping activity that carried out at the
time to see the waste dump condition
(include preparing support tools for material
tidiness if needed)
5.7. If during dumping activity found things that
bother operational activity or endanger
activity to be continued, then straight
informed to supervisor
5.8. Operator and supervisor must always to pay
attention to the location so that the potential
broken waste dumping (in several area) can

terjadinya waste dump patah (di beberapa
area) bisa untuk lebih cepat diketahui dan
ditanggulangi.
Prosedur instruksi kerja ini menerangkan proses
global yang menjadi panduan kerja suatu
aktivitas di lapangan, akan tetapi tidak
menutup adanya kemungkinan perbedaan
yang tidak substansial tergantung kondisi yang
ada di tiap jobsite
