A. Pengertian
Text deskriptif memberikan informasi tentang bagaimana sesuatu atau seseorang
terlihat, text ini menggunakan kata-kata untuk menggambarkan sesuatu atau seseorang
seperti apa. Text deskriptif juga memberikan fakta-fakta tentang bagaimana Bahasa
Indonesia benar-benar digunakan sesuai dengan aturan serta bagaimana seharusnya
text ini digunakan.
B. Tujuan
The purpose of descriptive text is to describe an object in detail. Tujuan
dari descriptive text adalah mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan suatu objek secara
detail (rinci). Objek-objek ini bisa berupa orang, hewan, benda, atau tempat.
C. Struktur teks
1. Identification
Identification (identifikasi) adalah pendahuluan, berupa gambaran umum tentang
suatu topik.
2. Description
Description (deskripsi) adalah berisi ciri-ciri khusus yang dimiliki benda, tempat,
atau bagaimana suatu benda dideskripsikan.
D. Unsur kebahasaan
1. Adjective
Descriptive text tidak terlepas dari adjective atau kata sifat. Saat mendeskripsikan
suatu objek, kita pasti menggunakan kata sifat, seperti besar, kecil, tinggi, pendek,
pintar, ramah, dan lain sebagainya.
2. Simple Present Tense
Simple Present Tense biasa digunakan untuk menyatakan fakta atau kebenaran
umum, serta kebiasaan. Saat mendeskripsikan suatu objek, kita akan
menggunakan tense jenis ini karena apa yang kita jabarkan dari objek tersebut
adalah fakta.
3. Adverb of Frequency
Adverb of frequency adalah kata keterangan yang berguna untuk
menunjukkan seberapa sering suatu kegiatan dilakukan. Nah,
dalam descriptive text, kita bisa menjelaskan kebiasaan objek menggunakan ini.

color. it’s one snug bed that faces the window. Every morning, the sun shines through
my window and wakes me up.
I put my table for study and do my prep at the corner. Beside that table, there is a

Jember is a regency in East Java. It is located in between Bondowoso and
Banyuwangi. Banyuwangi is regency that is located at the easternmost end of Java
Island, before Bali Strait, so that we can know that Jember is near enough from Bali
Island.
Jember is a beautiful place. In Jember, there are a lot of interesting places to
visit, such as Papuma Beach, Watu Ulo Beach, Watu Ondo, Pancer Beach,
Rembangan, and so on. Jember also has a famous carnival, named Jember Fashion
Carnaval. It is an international annual fashion carnival which usually held in August.
Beside some beautiful places and a famous carnival, Jember also has a unique culture.
People usually called it as Pendhalungan. Pendhalungan is an acculturation culture
between Javanese and Maduranese. Jember has a total area of 3,293.34 km2. Because
of that, it creates a different culture between North Jember and South Jember. In North
Jember, there are a lot of Maduranese people and they usually speak Maduranese. On
the other hand, In South Jember, not many Maduranese people live there. It is
dominated with Javanese people. Because of that, it creates a new unique language
which other regency do not have. The example is word “Cek” which means “very”

Her new blowfish women’s shoes are wonderful. When she are walking on that shoes,
all her friends, including me watch and admire that she has the most suitable shoes on her
physical appearance. The style, bright color, and brand represent her as a smart woman of the
day. She really have perfect appearance.
She is really mad on that shoes. She said that the products covered all genders. The
blowfish men’s shoes are as elegant as she has. The products provide varieties of choice.

Lembah Pelangi Waterfall sounds unfamiliar for either local or foreign tourists. Lembah
Pelangi Waterfall is located in Sukamaju village, Ulubelu sub district, Tanggamus district,
Lampung province, Indonesia. The access to this place is quite difficult because Ulu Belu sub
district is a remote area in Lampung with its hilly contours which make this tourist spot
elusive.
Lembah Pelangi Waterfall has two levels where the waterfall on the second level has two
branches. The height of the first level waterfall is about 100 meters, while the second level
waterfall is about dozens of meters. The best enchantment of this waterfall is the rainbow
which appears between the valley and the waterfall as the name suggests. The soft flowing
gurgling waterfall sounds is like a chant of nature which can remove the tiredness of the long
trip to go there. Under the waterfall, there are several spots of warm water which can be an
interesting spot for bathing.
In this place, you will be shown a panorama of natural beauty which is very interesting
for every pair of eyes seeing it. Rocky hills accompanied by leafy trees will actually soothe

Kediri is a name of a town. It is situated in a valley between the Kelud and Willis
mountains and inhabited by about 1.3 million people. In the centre of the town there is a large
hill which is called the Dathok Mountain. Because of the topography of the region, Kediri is
called a chilly town by the locals. There is a big river called Brantas cutting off the centre of
the town.
Beside the temples, Kediri is also famous for its products like cigarettes and a special
kind of tofu or bean curd. This highly nutritious food is delicacy of Kediri and has a
distinctive taste. The cigarettes factory dominates the town economy and employs the
majority of the women labor force. Kediri and the cigarettes factory are inseparable and it is
considered the biggest cigarette factory in indonesia. Most of the local people work in this
factory. Those who do not work here are farmers or traders.
Masjid Sultan Suriansyah is a historical mosque. Built 300 years ago, this building is
the oldest mosque in South Kalimantan. The mosque is located in the North Kuin Village of
Banjarmasin. It was built in the reign of Sultan Suriansyah known as Pangeran samudera. He
was the first Banjarnese King who converted into Islam. This mosque was found on the bank
of the Kuin River, near kampungkraton, which was destroyed by the Dutch colonial.
The construction of Masjid Sultan Suriansyah was unique. The roof is layered. It took the
Banjar’s past architecture before Islam came. Different from any other old mosques in Banjar,
the mihrab has its own roof, separated from the main building.
I have a teacher at my school who I respect. She is Mrs. Susi, an English teacher. Mrs.
Susi is still young so she is popular among students, she is still 30 years old. Although still
young, Mrs. Susi is a disciplined teacher.
Although firm, Mrs. Susi is actually very kind to each of her students. Mrs. Susi has

many people. He has a fairly fat body and has a distinctive voice. So Tulus is very

Tulus is also an architect graduated from the Catholic Parahyangan University in
Bandung. Tulus started his career by singing jazz music. Through several events such as
