ABSTRACT
Description Of Triple Elimination Positive Results (Hiv, Syphilis And Hepatitis B)
In Pregnant Women In The District Sumbawa
The incidence of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B in pregnant women is still high, this has an
impact on increasing infant mortality. Infectious diseases such as HIV infection, syphilis
and hepatitis B are diseases that can be transmitted from an infected mother to her child
during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, and cause morbidity, disability and death,
thus having a negative impact on the survival and quality of life of the child. The aim of the
study was to describe the positivity of the results of triple elimination tests (HIV, Syphilis
and Hepatitis B) in pregnant women in Sumbawa Regency. This research method uses cross
sectional. The population is all pregnant women who are positive for Triple Elimination
and the sample is taken using the total sampling method of 37 respondents. The data
collection tool used a questionnaire then the power analysis used was Univariate analysis,
then the data was processed using the chi square test. Based on the results of the data
analysis, it can be seen that most of the respondents had moderate education, most of the
respondents' husbands worked, marital status was 1x and the results of the triple
elimination examination, namely HIV, Hepatitis B and Syphilis, were mostly negative.
Suggestions from the results of this study include that the public knows that the Triple
Elimination examination is a program from the Government and it is mandatory for
pregnant women to do it in order to detect early risks so that intervention can be done more
quickly so that they can break the chain of transmission from mother to fetus.
