pada buah nanas segar didapatkan hasil bahwa kadar vitamin C pada Buah
nanas segar sebesar 3, 4274 ppm.
Untuk menguji kandungan vitamin c digunakan sampel antara lain jeruk nipis,
tomat, wortel, bengkoang mentimun. Sebagai control digunakan tablet vitamin C
500gr diambil sebanyak 20 butir dilarutkan dalam 10 ml air.Sebagai indicator
digunakan larutan betadine yang mengandung betadine mengandung povidone
iodine 10% yang setara dengan iodine 1%. Iodine ini lah yang sebenarnya
menjadi indikator, karena reaksi antara asam askorbat dalam vitamin C dan
iodin akan menghilangkan warna dari iodine. Pengamatan yang dilakukan pada
penelitian ini adalah perubahan warna dan jumlah tetesan larutan
sampel.Semakin sedikit jumlah tetesan larutan sampel menunjukkan semakin
tinggi kandungan vitamin C dalam sampel tersebut.
