Pasien harus segera menemui dokter atau pergi ke layanan

emergensi ketika asma terus memburuk meskipun
telah mengikuti rencana aksi asma tertulis, atau ketika
asma mengalami perburukan secara mendadak.
Follow-up setelah penanganan mandiri eksaserbasi

Pasien harus mengunjungi layanan kesehatan primer untuk

kontrol semi-urgent (dalam 1-2 minggu), untuk penilaian
kontrol gejala dan faktor risiko eksaserbasi tambahan serta
identifikasi penyebab potensial eksaserbasi
Follow-up setelah penanganan mandiri eksaserbasi

Terapi controller harian dapat dilanjutkan pada level sebelumnya 2-4 minggu
setelah eksaserbasi, kecuali eksaserbasi terjadi akibat asma tidak
terkontrol lama.

Dalam situasi tersebut, teknik inhaler dan kepatuhan berobat harus terus
dicek, dan dianjurkan peningkatan satu langkah terapi.
