A. PETUNJUK BELAJAR
1. Membaca, Memahami Bahan Ajar dan LKPD dengan cermat, Boleh berdiskusi
secara kelompok.
2. Kerjakan LKPD secara individu.
3. Tulis hasil kerjamu dibuku tulis masing-masing dan ketik dalam bentuk file
kirim ke koordinator atau kolektor tugas (Lilo Anggoro)
4. Diperbolehkan browsing/searching/googling untuk melengkapi informasi dan
referensi belajar.
5. Kerjakan dengan sungguh-sungguh dan mandiri, serta mengedepankan
orisinalitas bukan plagiat atau Copy paste.
6. Tanyakan pada guru apabila ada yang kurang jelas.
7. Selamat mengerjakan

B. KOMPETENSI DASAR
1. Pengetahuan
Menganalisis fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan teks interaksi
transaksional lisan dan tulis yang melibatkan tindakan memberi dan meminta
informasi terkait keadaan/tindakan/ kegiatan/ kejadian yang dilakukan/terjadi di
waktu lampau yang merujuk waktu terjadinya dan kesudahannya, sesuai dengan
konteks penggunaannya.
2. Keterampilan
Menyusun teks interaksi transaksional, lisan dan tulis, pendek dan sederhana,
yang melibatkan tindakan unsur dan meminta informasi terkait
keadaan/tindakan/ kegiatan/ kejadian yang dilakukan/terjadi di waktu lampau
yang merujuk waktu terjadinya dan kesudahannya, dengan memperhatikan
fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai
konteks.

C. INDIKATOR PENCAPAIAN KOMPETENSI

1. Mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaannya dari
teks kejadian dimasa lampau.
2. Menentukan informasi tersurat yang terdapat dalam teks kejadian dimasa
lampau.
 3. Menyusun teks acak kejadian dimasa lampau (recount) sesuai dengan
konteksnya.

D. BAHAN AJAR
1. Definition and Purpose of Recount Text
 Definition of Recount Text
Recount is a text which retells events or experiences in the past.
 Its purpose is to inform or to entertain the audience.
 Recounts are written to retell events with the purpose of either informing
or entertaining their audience (or both).
 In a simple word the purpose of recount text is to retell past experience.

2. Generic Structure and Language Features

Generic Structure
a) Orientation
Tells who was involved, what happened, where the events took place,
and when it happened.
b) Events
Tell what happened in chronological sequence.
c) Re-orientation
Consists of optional-closure of events/ending.

Language Features
 Using the simple past tense,
 Using temporal sequence, e.g. On Saturday. On Monday, On Sunday
 Focus on specific participant, e.g. I (the writer)
 Using the conjunctions, such as: then, before, after, etc.
 Using action verb, e.g. went, stayed.
 3. Example
Read the following text!
Title My Family Holiday

Orientations Last month, my family and I went to the beach. We

went holiday on Sunday. We went to there by car.

Events In my journey, I saw many building all the way. We

also saw beautiful view like mountains, trees, birds,
and many more near of the beach.
After we arrived in the beach. We drove a boat to
enjoy view in the beach. My brother played football
while I was playing with the sand. My mother saw
beautiful scenery with binoculars while my father
eating the burger.
After that, we opened some food and drinks. Then,
we enjoyed it together. Before we go home, we took
a picture together to capture the moment.

Re-orientations Finally, we went home in the evening. We felt really

happy because it was a fun holiday.

E. STUDENTS TASK
1. Pilih satu pengalaman pribadi menarik yang tak terlupakan dalam
kehidupanmu.
2. Tulis dalam bentuk Recount Text seperti contoh diatas.
3. Untuk memudahkan langkah kerja, rancangan tulisan hendaknya ditulis
dalam bentuk bahasa Indonesia terlebih dulu untuk kemudian ditulis dalam
bentuk bahasa Inggris.
4. Lilo Anggoro (Koordinator) mengirimkan kompilasi tugas kelas ke alamat
