A. SEJARAH SINGKAT
PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk., yang didirikan dengan nama PT Panganjaya
Intikusuma di tahun 1990, memiliki berbagai kegiatan usaha yang telah beroperasi sejak awal
tahun 1980an.
 1990
- Didirikan dengan nama PT Panganjaya Intikusuma.
- Memulai kegiatan usaha di bidang makanan ringan melalui perusahaan patungan
dengan Fritolay Netherlands Holding B.V., perusahaan afiliasi PepsiCo Inc.
 1994
- Mengganti nama menjadi PT Indofood Sukses Makmur
- Mencatatkan saham di BEI.
 1995
- Memulai integrasi bisnis melalui akuisisi pabrik penggilingan gandum Bogasari.
 1997
- Memperluas integrasi bisnisnya dengan mengakuisisi grup perusahaan yang
bergerak di bidang perkebunan, agribisnis dan distribusi.
 2005
- Memulai kegiatan usaha di bidang perkapalan dengan mengakuisisi PT Pelayaran
Tahta Bahtera.

 2007
- Mencatatkan saham Grup Agribisnis, Indofood Agri Resources Ltd., di Bursa
Efek Singapura (“SGX”).
- Grup Agribisnis memperluas perkebunannya dengan mengakuisisi PT PP London
Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, sebuah perusahaan perkebunan, yang sahamnya tercatat
di BEI.
 2008
- Grup Agribisnis memasuki kegiatan usaha gula dengan mengakuisisi PT
Lajuperdana Indah.
- Grup Consumer Branded Products (“CBP”) memasuki kegiatan usaha dairy
melalui akuisisi PT Indolakto, salah satu produsen produk dairy terkemuka di
Indonesia.
 2010
- Mencatatkan saham Grup CBP, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk, di BEI.
 2011
- Mencatatkan saham PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk, anak perusahaan pada Grup
Agribisnis, di BEI.
 2013
- Grup CBP memasuki kegiatan usaha minuman.
- Grup Agribisnis memperluas kegiatan usaha gula ke Brasil dan Filipina melalui
penyertaan saham di Companhia Mineira de Açúcar e Álcool Participações
(“CMAA”) dan Roxas Holdings Inc. (“Roxas”).
 2014
- Grup CBP mengembangkan kegiatan usaha minumannya dengan memasuki
bidang usaha air minum dalam kemasan (“AMDK”) melalui akuisisi aset AMDK
termasuk merek Club.
 2018
- Grup CBP meningkatkan kepemilikan pada anak perusahaan di bidang minuman
dan produk kuliner, serta melaksanakan pendistribusian produk secara nasional
untuk kegiatan usaha paper diaper.

D. KELEBIHAN
Setiap tahunnya PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk harus mengendalikan biaya promosi
agar biaya promosi yang dikeluarkan untuk promosi produk tidak mengeluarkan biaya yang
terlalu banyak yang menjadi pemborosan perusahaan dan supaya tingkat penjualan tidak
menurun. PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk melakukan pendistribusian yang sesuai dengan
target pasar, produk yang dihasilkanpun harus memenuhi dengan minat konsumen.

PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk terus mengadakan riset terhadap pasar untuk
menyaingi pesaing perusahaan lain. PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk menambah unggulan-
unggulan terhadap produk yang akan dipasarkan, memperhatikan kualitas produk yang ingin
dipasarkan, melihat kebutuhan dari konsumen dan perusahaan melakukan gebrakan yang
menjadi daya tarik konsumen terhadap produk yang dipasarkan.
