ABSTRACT
Nurse Dr. M. Djamil Padang in 2021 who had work accidents as many as 17
people were stabbed with syringes and intravenous needles. The application of
occupational safety and health to nurses in hospitals is very important, because
nurses in hospitals can be exposed to various hazards in the workplace. The purpose
of this study was to determine the relationship between nurse behavior and the
application of occupational safety and health (K3) in the Emergency Room (IGD)
RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang in 2022.
This type of analytic research with cross sectional design. The research was
carried out in the ER, RSUP Dr. M Djamil Padang from February to October 2022.
The population of all nurses who served in the ER Dr. RSUP. M. Djamil Padang
numbered 47 people (total population). The study used a questionnaire with a
questionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Chi Square test.
The results of the study were 36.2% of respondents in the application of K3
not good. 46.8% of respondents have low knowledge. 46.8% of respondents have a
negative attitude. 44.7% of respondents have less action. There is a relationship
between knowledge and the application of K3 (pvalue = 0.037). There is a correlation
between attitude and the application of K3 (pvalue = 0.001). There is a relationship
of action with the implementation of K3 in Dr. RSUP. M. Djamil Padang in 2022
(pvalue=0.001).
Factors of knowledge, attitudes, actions related to the application of K3. It is
expected that the hospital is expected to involve all hospital staff in the preparation of
K3RS policies so that the policies drawn up are in accordance with the situation and
conditions in the hospital and the K3RS policies are more communicated to all
hospital human resources, for example through internal meetings of each section or
work unit so that the reference in doing work can be based on K3.
