• Ratio < 1, terlalu banyak inventory, penjualan rendah
• Ratio > 1, inventory cost rendah, penjualan tinggi

• Continuous review:
Waktu pemesanan kembali (reorder point) biasanya ditentukan
dibutuhkan.
11
Total inventory cost = purchasing cost + set up cost + holding cost + shortage cost

Waktu
t0=y/D
17 Model EOQ Klasik (2)
t0 = y/D unit waktu
lead time sebagai berikut:
Le = L – nt0*
Solusi
• Dari data diatas, didapat
D = 100 unit per hari
K = $100 per pesanan
h = $0.02 per unit per hari
L = 12 hari
• Jadi
y* = √(2KD/h) = √(2x$100x100/0.02) = 1000 lampu
22 Model EOQ Klasik – Latihan A (2)
• Lama siklus adalah
t0* = y*/D = 1000/100 = 10 hari
• Karena lead time L = 12 hari melebihi lama siklus t0* (= 10 hari), perlu
dihitung Le. Jumlah siklus integer termasuk dalam L adalah
n = (integer terbesar ≤ L/t0*)
= (integer terbesar ≤ 12/10)
=1
• Jadi
Le = L – nt0* = 12 -1 x 10 = 2 hari
• Reorder point terjadi jika level inventory drop menjadi
LeD = 2 x 100 = 200 lampu neon
• Kebijaksanaan inventory untuk pemesanan lampu adalah
“Pesan 1000 unit jika level inventory drop menjadi 200 unit”
23 Model EOQ Klasik – Latihan A (3)
horizon perencanaan.
• Besar buffer ditentukan sedemikian rupa sehingga kemungkinan

26 Model EOQ Klasik – Buffer (2)
rata selama Lead Time μL = LD dan standar deviasi σL = √Lσ2

ym = √(2KD/h) biaya TCU1
TCU2

ym Q
TCU2(Q) = TCU1(ym)
atau
c2D + KD/Q + hQ/2 = TCU1(ym)
TCU2 TCU2
Minimum Minimum
y y
q ym Q ym q Q

TCU2
Minimum
y
ym Qq
34 Model EOQ dengan Price Breaks (5)
• Tahapan untuk menentukan y* adalah
• Tahap 2. Tentukan Q
TCU(ym) = c1D + KD/ym + hym/2
= 3 x 187.5 + (20 x 187.5/612.37) + (0.02 x 612.37/2)
= 574.75
galon.
• Diberikan 2 hari lead time, reorder point dalah 2D = 2 x 187.5 = 375 galon.
Jadi, kebijaksanaan inventory optimal adalah
Pesan 1000 galon jika level inventory drop sampai 375 galon.

40 Soal 1
• Two inventory policies have been suggested by the
purchasing department of a company:
1. Policy 1. Order 150 units. The reorder point is 50 units, and
the time between placing and receiving an order is 10 days.
2. Policy 2. Order 200 units. The reorder point is 75 units, and
the time between placing and receiving an order is 15 days.
• The setup cost per order is $20, and the holding cost per
unit inventory per day is $.02.
a. Which of the two policies should the company adopt?
b. If you were in charge of devising an inventory policy for the
company, what would you recommend assuming that the
supplier requires a lead time of 22 days?
41 Soal 2
• Store compresses and palletizes empty merchandise
cartons for recycling.
• The store generates five pallets a day.
• The cost of storing a pallet in the store’s back lot is $.10
per day.
• The company that moves the pallets to the recycling
center charges a flat fee of $100 for the rental of its
loading equipment plus a variable transportation cost of
$3 per pallet.
Devise an optimal policy for hauling the pallets to the
recycling center!
42 Soal 3
• A hotel uses an external laundry service to provide clean
towels. The hotel generates 600 soiled towels a day.
• The laundry service picks up the soiled towels and
replaces them with clean ones at regular intervals.
• There is a fixed charge of $81 per pickup and delivery
service, in addition to the variable cost of $.60 per towel.
• It costs the hotel $.02 a day to store a soiled towel and
$.01 per day to store a clean one.
How often should the hotel use the pickup and delivery
service and how much for the cost/day?
43 Soal 4
• The daily demand for camera films at a gift shop is
N(300,5).
• The cost of holding a roll in the shop is $.02 per day, and
the fixed cost of placing a replenishment order is $30.
• The shop’s inventory policy is to order 150 rolls whenever
the inventory level drops to 80 units.
• It simultaneously maintains a buffer of 20 rolls at all
times.
a. Determine the probability of running out of stock.
b. Given the data of the situation, recommend an inventory
policy for the shop given that the shortage probability cannot
exceed .10
44 Soal 5
• An item sells for $30 a unit, but a 10% discount is offered
for lots of 200 units or more.
• A company uses this item at the rate of 20 units per day.
• The setup cost for ordering a lot is $50, and the holding
cost per unit per day is $.30. The lead time is 15 days.
Should the company take advantage of the discount?
