Langkah-langkah untuk menghitung proyeksi income statement tahun 2011 untuk Target
Corporation sebagai berikut:
1. Penjualan = $ 39,888 x 1.0809 = $ 43,115
2. Gross profit = $ 43,115 x 31.69 % = $ 13,663
3. Cost of goods sold = $ 43,115 - $ 13,663 = $ 29,452
4. Selling, general and administrative expenses = $ 43,115 x 22.27 % = $ 9,602
5. Depreciation = $ 18,442 x 6.85 % = $ 1,263
6. Interest = $ 8,088 x 7.15 % = $ 578
7. Pretax income = $ 13,663 - $ 9,602 - $ 1,263 - $ 578 = $ 2,220

Langkah-langkah untuk menghitung proyeksi balance sheet tahun 2011 untuk Target
Corporation sebagai berikut:
1. Receivables = Sales/Receivable turnover = $ 43,115 / 10.41 = $ 4,142.
2. Inventories = COGS/Inventory turnover = $29,452/6.12 = $4,812
3. Other current assets = tetap, $ 869
4. PP & E = Saldo tahun 2019 + CAPEX = $ 18,442 + ( 7.93 % x $ 43,115) = $21,861
5. Accumulated depreciation = Saldo tahun 2019 + estimasi depresiasi = $4,909 + $
1,263= $6,172
6. Net PP & E = PP & E - Accumulated depreciation = $ 21,861 - $ 6,172 = $15,689
7. Other non-current assets = tetap, $ 973
8. Accounts payable = COGS / Payable turnover = $ 29,452 / 6.55 = $ 4,496
9. Current portion of long term debt = jumlah yang dilaporkan dalam catatan atas laporan
keuangan untuk long term debt yaitu sebesar $ 892

11. Taxes payable = Tax expense x Tax payable / Tax expense = $ 844 x 50.24 % = $ 424
12. Deferred income taxes and other liabilities = tetap, $ 1,152
13. Long term debt = Saldo tahun 2019 - Current portion of LTD = $ 8,088 - $ 892 = $
7,196
14. Common stock = tetap, $ 75
15. Capital surplus = Saldo tahun 2019 + normal ESOP and stock option activity = 1,098 +
$20=$ 1,118
16. Retained earning = Saldo tahun 2019 + projected net .income – estimasi dividends =
$6,687+ 1,376 - ($0,225x905) = $6,687+ $ 1,376 - $204 = $ 7,859
17. Cash = Jumlah yang dibutuhkan untuk menyeimbangkan total liabilities dan equity
dikurangi jumlah 1,2,3,6,7 = ( $ 4,496 + $ 892 + $ 1,693 + $ 424 + $1,152+ $ 7,196)+
($ 75 + $ 1,118 + $ 7,859) - ( $ 4,142 + $ 4,812 + $ 869 ) - ($15,689 + $ 973) = $
24,905 - $ 26,485 = ( $ 1,580 )
