 Zoonosis adalah penyakit atau
infeksi yang ditularkan secara
alamiah di antara hewan
vertebrata dan manusia

Zoonosis dapat ditularkan dari hewan ke manusia melalui beberapa cara,

yaitu kontak langsung dengan hewan pengidap zoonosis dan kontak tidak
langsung melalui vektor atau mengonsumsi pangan yang berasal dari ternak
sakit, atau melalui aerosol di udara ketika seseorang berada pada lingkungan
yang tercemar (Suhar- sono 2002; Nicholas dan Smith 2003).
 Berdasarkan hewan penularnya, zoonosis
dibedakan menjadi zoonosis yang berasal
dari satwa liar, zoonosis dari hewan yang
tidak dipelihara tetapi ada di sekitar rumah,
seperti tikus yang dapat menularkan
leptospirosis, dan zoonosis dari hewan
yang dipelihara manusia.

Ada banyak penyakit yang disebabkan binatang (zoonosis), namun

Pemerintah Indonesia telah menetapkan lima penyakit zoonosis yang
berpotensi menjadi wabah di masa mendatang, yaitu sebagai berikut:
 Rabies
 Flu burung
 Leptospirosis
 Antraks
 Brucellosis
 Avian
influenza
1) Berdasarkan Orang
Aspek epidemiologi infeksi rabies pada manusia
menggambarkan kasus rabies pada hewan setempat. Jika
rabies pada anjing sering ditemukan pada suatu area geografis Frekuensi dan
maka kasus rabies pada manusia di lokasi yang sama Distribusi menurut
biasanya berasal dari gigitan oleh anjing yang terinfeksi.

terinfeksi. Jalan lain adalah melalui kontak dengan benda yang Frekuensi dan

Penyakit Avian Influenza adalah penyakit zoonosis, sehingga

peningkatan kasus pada hewan akan meningkatkan risiko
penularan pada manusia akan semakin besar. Di Indonesia, Frekuensi dan
sampai dengan bulan Februari 2006, kasus confirmed Avian
Influenza telah terjadi di Provinsi Lampung, DKI Jakarta, Jawa Distribusi menurut
Barat, Banten dan Jawa Tengah. Kelima provinsi tersebut Orang, Tempat dan
sebelumnya telah mengalami kejadian kasus Avian Influenza pada Waktu
unggas ataupun hewan lainnya.

 • Flu burung (avian infulenza, A1) adalah infeksi
yang di sebabkan oleh virus influenza A subtipe
H5N1 (hemagglutinin; N=neuraminidase) yang
pada umumnya menyerang unggas (burung dan
ayam ).

Definisi Penyakit ini dapat menyerang saluran nafas,

saluran cerna, dan systemsaraf pada berbagai
spesies burung dan unggas. Binatang piaraan
seperti ayam( chickens ), kalkun ( turkeys ).
Potensial terserang flu burung yang tinggi
potensialnya di kenal sebagai fowl plague
 • Virus influenza tipe A adalah penyab utama dari
fluburung.

Virus influenza pada unggas mempunyai sifat

dapat bertahan hidup di air sampai 4 hari pada

Etiologi suhu 22°C dan lebih dari 30 hari pada suhu 0°C.
Di dalam tinja unggas dan dalam tubuh unggas
sakit, dapat hidup lama, tetapi mati pada
pemanasan 60°C selama 30 menit, 56°C elama 3
jam dan pemanasan 80° selama 1 menit. Virus
akan mati dengan deterjen atau desinfektan
misalnya formalin, cairan ynag mengandung iodin
atau alkohol 70%. Viruss H5N1 terus bermutasi
sehingga dapat menjadi virus penyebab pendemi.

dari unggas ke manusia melalui air liur, lendir dari
hidung dan feces. Penyakit ini juga dapat menular
melalui udara yang tercemar virus H5Nl yang
berasal dari kotoran atau sekreta burung/unggas
yang rnenderita flu burung
• Avian Virus influenza avian dapat ditularkan Patofisiologi
terhadap manusia dengan 2 jalan.
1. Pertama kontaminasi langsung dari lingkungan
burung terinfeksi yang mengandung virus kepada
manusia.
2. cara lain adalah lewat perantara binatang babi.
Yang berisiko tinggi untuk terkena flu burung adalah :
1. Pekerja peternakan (termasuk dokter hewan atau
insinyur petemakan)
2. Laboratorium yang mengumpulkan dan meneliti
sampel pasien atau unggas yang terjangkit.

3. Pengunjung petemakan dalam I minggu terakhir. Resiko
4. Mereka yang terpapar.
5. Faktor resiko yang memperberat flu burung adalah
umur tua (65 tahun keatas), perawatan yang
terlambat keterlibatan infeksi saluran nafas bawah
(pneumonia), dan leukopenia serta limfopenia saat
masuk
• Gejala influenza biasanya diawali dengan demam
tiba-tiba, batuk (biasanya kering), sakit kepala, nyeri
otot, lemas, kelelahan dan hidung berair
• Pada anak dengan influenza B dapat menjadi lebih
parah dengan terjadinya diare 4 serta nyeri

Kebanyakan orang dapat sembuh dari gejala-gejala

ini dalam waktu kurang lebih satu minggu tanpa
membutuhkan perawatan medis yang serius. Waktu
inkubasi yaitu dari saat mulai terpapar virus sampai
munculnya gejala kurang lebih dua hari
• Pada masa inkubasi virus tubuh belum merasakan gejala
apapun.
• Setelah masa inkubasi gejala-gejala mulai dirasakan dan
berlangsung terus-menerus kurang lebih selama satu
minggu. Hal ini akan memicu kerja dari sistem imun tubuh
yang kemudian setelah kurang lebih satu minggu tubuh
akan mengalami pemulihan hingga akhirnya benar-benar
sembuh dari influenza

Gejala
Untuk orang-orang dengan faktor resiko tinggi
seperti usia di atas 65 tahun, atau orang-orang
dengan penyakit tertentu seperti penyakit kronis
pada hati, paru-paru, ginjal, jantung, gangguan
metabolik seperti diabetes melitus, atau orang
yang sistem imunnya rendah berpotensi
mengalami keparahan.
 Menurut Departemen Komunikasi dan Informasi Pemerintah RI mempunyai rencana
strategis nasional. Adapun rencana strategis tersebut adalah:

1. Pengendalian penyakit Avian Influenza pada hewan.

2. Penatalaksanaan kasus pada manusia dan pencegahan infeksi
baru pada unggas (Koordinasi dengan Departemen Pertanian,
Departemen Kehutanan dan Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup).
3. Perlindungan pada kelompok resiko tinggi (koordinasi dengan
Pengendalian dan
Departemen Pertanian). Pencegahan
4. Surveilans epidemiologi (Pada manusia dan unggas/hewan).
5. Restrukturisasi sistem industri perunggasan.
6. Komunikasi, resiko, informasi dan peningkatan kesadaran
masyarakat.
7. Memperkuat peraturan perundang-undangan.
8. Peningkatan kapasitas (Capacity Building).
9. Penelitian kaji tindak.
10. Monitoring dan evaluasi.
