Definition of Descriptive text
Descriptive text is a type of text that describes a
person, place, animal or object. For example,
describing admired figures, tourist attractions, pets
and others.

Descriptive text adalah jenis teks yang

mendeskripsikan orang, tempat, binatang atau suatu
benda. Misalnya mendeskripsikan tentang sosok yang
dikagumi, tempat wisata, binatang peliharaan dan
lainnya.
The purpose (Tujuan Descriptive Text):
To describe a particular person, object, and place. It describes
the characteristics or features of a person, object, or place
specifically.(Untuk mendeskripsikan orang, objek, dan tempat
tertentu. Descriptive text menggambarkan karakteristik atau fitur
seseorang, objek, atau tempat secara khusus.)
The structure (Struktur Descriptive Text):
• Identification, which identifies the person, object, or place to
be described. (Bagian pengenalan dari sebuah descriptive
text)
• Description, which describes parts, qualities or characteristics
of the person, object or place being described. (yang
menggambarkan bagian, kualitas atau karakteristik orang,
objek atau tempat yang sedang dijelaskan.)

Kebahasaan Descriptive Text)
• Menggunakan present tense. Seperti: It has 2 doors, my mom
likes cooking, dan sebagainya.
• State verb. Dalam narasi yang bersifat deskriptif, kata-kata yang
digunakan merupakan kata kerja statif untuk menggambarkan
sebuah keadaan. Misal: Think, believe, have, belong, love, hate,
dan lainnya.
• Penggunaan adjective atau kata sifat yang beragam. Untuk
mendeskripsikan sesuatu, kamu harus menggunakan kata sifat
yang beragam. Usahakan untuk tidak mengulang kata sifat yang
sama agar tidak redundan. Kamu bisa menggunakan bantuan
thesaurus untuk mencari persamaan kata untuk menghindari
pengulangan kata.
• Penggunaan adverb. 
Dalam descriptive text, adverb juga digunakan sebagai bagian dari kalimat
atau paragraf. Misal: Loudly, fluently, carelessly, fast, dan lainnya.

• Noun Phrase
A series of words where a noun as a head is preceded by an adjective as a
modifier. (Serangkaian kata yang kata benda sebagai kepala diawali dengan kata
sifat sebagai pengubah)
Tujuan Noun Phrase:
To modify or describe the nouns, to give more information about the nouns or
noun phrases. (Untuk memodifikasi atau mendeskripsikan kata benda,
memberikan informasi lebih lanjut tentang kata benda atau frase kata benda.)
Many adjectives precede the nouns or noun phrases. See the following
examples.
• The beautiful beach is called Pink Beach.

Padar Island lies about 20 miles (30 km) from

Labuan Bajo, a fishing town on the westernmost part of
Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. Padar Island is small, but is The location
