A Mengenal Ekonomi Kreatif,

Industri Kreatif, dan Sektor


Usaha
Secara garis besar, ada tiga gambaran ciri-ciri era Revolusi Industri 4.0, antara lain
sebagai berikut.

1. Inovasi dapat dikembangkan dan menyebar jauh lebih cepat


dibandingkan sebelumnya

2. Penurunan biaya produksi yang marginal dan munculnya platform


yang dapat menyatukan dan mengonsentrasikan beberapa bidang
keilmuan, serta terbukti dapat meningkatkan output pekerjaan.

3. Revolusi secara global akan memiliki pengaruh besar dan terbentuk


di hampir semua negara di dunia.
Sementara itu, tantangan utama para wirausaha pada era Revolusi Industri 4.0 tersebut adalah VUCA World.
Secara terperinci, VUCA dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut.

1. Volatility, yaitu perubahan kejadian yang sangat cepat dalam berbagai


hal, seperti sosial, ekonomi, dan politik.

2. Uncertainty, yaitu sulitnya memprediksi isu dan peristiwa, baik yang


terjadi saat ini maupun di masa yang akan datang.

3. Complexity, yaitu adanya gangguan dan kekacauan yang mengelilingi


setiap organisasi.

4. Ambiguity, yaitu beban berat realitas dan makna yang berbaur dari
berbagai kondisi yang ada atau sebuah keadaan yang terasa
mengambang dan kejelasan yang masih dipertanyakan.

VUCA secara tidak langsung menciptakan suatu tren baru yang penting untuk dipahami oleh wirausaha. Jika
dulu orang mencari perusahaan yang akan memberinya kerja, kini justru sebaliknya, perusahaanlah yang
mencari orang terbaik untuk bekerja di tempatnya.
Berikut adalah empat langkah persiapan untukmenghadapi VUCA yang direkomendasikan oleh Prof.
AndreasRaharso dari INSEAD dan dihubungkan dengan dunia usaha.
1. From best practises to next practises. Kita tidak perlu lagi menganalisis hal-hal
yang pernah dilakukan oleh usaha- usaha sebelumnya selama bertahun-tahun.
Wirausaha juga perlu melakukan eksperimen baru dan mempersiapkan tantangan di
masa depan.
2. From fear to brave. Wirausaha harus berani untuk membuat keputusan dan
melakukan eksperimen langkah baru, walaupun langkah tersebut belum tentu
berhasil. Jika gagal, wirausaha harus dapat belajar banyak strategi baru dan
melangkah kembali.
3. From "know it all" to "learn it all". Wirausaha harus mengubah pola pikir dari cukup mengetahui
sebuah bidang menjadi mempelajari berbagai bidang yang berhubungan dengan cakupan
usaha.
4. From "we are under threats" to "we have opportunities". Wirausaha harus mengubah pandangan
pada suatu hal yang awalnya dianggap sebuah ancaman bagi usaha menjadi suatu peluang yang
potensial.

Siapa pun yang ingin menekuni dunia usaha saat ini, perlu mengantisipasi dan menyiasati adanya VUCA dan
salah satu caranya adalah menjadi wirausaha yang kreatif. Berikut akan dijelaskan pengertian secara umum dari
ekonomi kreatif, industri kreatif, dan subsektor industri kreatif yang sedang berkembang di kalangan masyarakat.
1. Ekonomi Kreatif
Ekonomi kreatif adalah sebuah konsep yang menempatkan kreativitas dan
pengetahuan sebagai aset utama dalam menggerakkan ekonomi.

Istilah "Ekonomi Kreatif" mulai dikenal secara global sejak munculnya buku
"The Creative Economy: How People Make Money from Ideas" (2001) oleh John
Howkins. Howkins menyadari lahirnya gelombang ekonomi baru berbasis
kreativitas setelah melihat Amerika Serikat menghasilkan produk-produk Hak
Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) senilai 414 miliar Dolar Amerika dan menjadikan
HKI sebagai produk ekspor nomor satu di Amerika Serikat pada tahun
1997.Dalam sebuah wawancara oleh Donna Ghelfi dari World Intellectual
Property Organization (WIPO) di tahun 2005, John Howkins secara sederhana
menjelaskan ekonomi kreatif sebagai suatu kegiatan ekonomi dalam masyarakat
yang menghabiskan sebagian besar waktunya untuk menghasilkan ide dan tidak
hanya melakukan hal-hal yang rutin dan berulang.
Studi ekonomi kreatif terbaru yang dilakukan United Nations Conference on Trade and
Development (UNCTAD) pada tahun 2010 menjabarkan ekonomi kreatif sebagai berikut.
a. Ekonomi kreatif mendorong peningkatan pendapatan, penciptaan
pekerjaan, dan pendapatan ekspor sekaligus mempromosikan
kepedulian sosial, keragaman budaya, dan pengembangan
manusia.
b. Ekonomi kreatif mengikutsertakan aspek sosial, budaya, dan
ekonomi dalam pengembangan teknologi, Hak Kekayaan
Intelektual, serta pariwisata.
c. Ekonomi kreatif merupakan kumpulan aktivitas ekonomi berbasis
pengetahuan dengan dimensi pengembangan dan keterhubungan lintas
sektoral pada level ekonomi mikro dan makro secara keseluruhan.
d. Ekonomi kreatif merupakan suatu pilihan strategipengembangan
yang membutuhkan tindakan lintas kementerian dan kebijakan yang inovatif.
e. Pada jantung ekonomi kreatif terdapat industri kreatif.
