ABSTRACT
Indonesia is an oil palm producers and exporters of Crude Palm Oil (CPO)
in the world. However, if seen from the development of the derivatives industry
today, Indonesia is still lower compared to Malaysia. This is because most of the
production is allocated for oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) only, not further
processed into downstream products. Whereas if viewed from the selling prices of
palm oil downstream industry, more promising a better value than merely
exporting CPO course.
This scientific paper aims to expose the process of making these kinds of
margarine, margarine from the CPO by considering the whole chain of industrial
palm oil trees. Derivatives are products Palm oil from upstream to downstream
i.e. CPO for upstream products, between products, olein and cooking oil and
margarine to downstream products. Fat Margarine with good physical properties
is made from a mixture of palm oil stearin (RBDPS), palm oil (RBDPO), coconut
oil (CNO) and the stage of the process of neutralization, bleaching, hydrogenation
process, deodorization process, emulsification process, and packaging.
