Time Allotment : 1 meeting (20 Minutes)

A. Core Competence

KI 3 : Memahami, menerapkan, dan menganalisis pengetahuan faktual,

tentang ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, seni, budaya, dan humaniora dengan

penyebab fenomena dan kejadian, serta menerapkan pengetahuan prosedural

5. What was the place that Kirana wanted to visit?

Activity 5
Group Work: Each group will be given some piece of papers containing some
jumbled part of personal letters. Then, arrange those parts into a good order
by sticking it on a piece of paper.

H. Teaching and Learning Stages.


a. Opening (2 minutes)

1) Students greet the teacher cheerfully;


2) Students and the teacher pray together;
3) Students’ attendances are checked by the teacher;
4) Students review and refrain to the previous lesson/materials that
students have already been taught to;
5) Students are motivated and prepared to learn.
b. Main activities (15 minutes)

Stage 1  Students watch a video about personal letters. 3 minutes
BKoF  Students try to distinguish the example of personal
letter and another type of letter.
Stage 2  Students are given the text structure of personal letter. 2 minutes

Stage 3  Students are asked to analyze the text structure of a 6 minutes
JCoT personal letter.
 Students has to answer some questions related to the
previous personal letter
Stage 4  In group, students are asked to design a personal 4 minutes
ICoT letter from some jumbled parts of personal letter.

c. Closing (3 minutes)

1) Students and the teacher talk together about the main activities (the
feeling and atmosphere, etc.);
2) Students conclude today’s lesson and point out the learning
outcomes;
3) Students get feedback about today’s lesson from the teacher;
4) Students are given a preview of the next lesson;
5) Students read aloud the quote of the day from the teacher;
6) Students answer to the teacher’s greeting.
