 Tumor pada traktus GI
tepatnya bermula pada
precursor sel interstisial cajal
(sel pacemaker usus) yang
2/3 muncul pada lambung,
sekitar1/3 pada usus halus
dan 10% lainnya
Epidemiologi

Angka kejadiannya pertahun sekitar 15 kejadian tiap

1 juta orang
Di amerika sendiri ada 5000 kasus tiap tahun
90% pasien berumur 40 tahun keatas
Etiologi

Penyebab pasti dari tumor ini belum dapat dipastikan

Diduga berhubungan dengan :
inflamatory bowel disease
terapi imunosupresif
infeksi human herpes virus 8
AIDS
Faktor Resiko

Kasus GIST berlangsung sporadik, tidak berkaitan

familial
Sesorang berumur 50 tahun
 Patogensis

Gejala Klinis

Gejala tidak spesifik

Nyeri perut
Terasa ada massa di perut
Perdarahan pada GI
Manifestasi berupa dysphagia, perforasi,
obstruksi intestinal
