Kondisi Masyarakat Indonesia
yang Bersifat Pluralistis

 Pluralisme merupakan sebuah paham yang menghargai adanya perbedaan di

tengah kehidupan masyarakat dan mengizinkan kelompok berbeda itu tetap
menjaga budayanya sebagai ciri khas.

 Pluralisme juga dapat diartikan sebagai kesediaan menerima keberagaman

untuk hidup toleran pada tatanan masyarakat yang berbeda suku, golongan,
agama, adat istiadat, dan pandangan hidup
Pluralitas masyarakat Indonesia muncul karena letak geografis yang
sangat strategis, yakni diantara Samudra Pasifik dan Hindia. Keadaan
inilah yang menjadikan Indonesia sebagai salah satu jalur lalu lintas
perdagangan, yang kemudian menciptakan kondisi pluralitas dalam
masyarakat Indonesia.

Karena rasa ingin menang atau menjadi
pusat perhatian umum ditengah
keberagaman, hal ini dapat menimbulkan
rasa egois untuk mementingkan diri sendiri.
Menimbulkan sikap
individualisme
Karena mereka hanya mementingkan dirinya
sendiri, maka adanya keberagaman atau
pluralitas akan membentuk seseorang yang
individualis dan cenderung tidak menerima
atau mengakui perbedaan tersebut.
