Abstract: This article aims to describe the speech errors made by students and lecturers. The
misrepresentations described include errors of speech in semantic selection and assembling
errors in the form of transposition, anticipation, and presentation. The data used are speech
errors of students and lecturers at Jember University. Data were collected using the method of
listening that is by listening to the speech errors by students. As for the technique, the technique
of tapping and note taking is done. This research was conducted using a qualitative-descriptive
method with a psycholinguistic approach that examines mental processes traversed by humans
in language.
