C. Tujuan Pembelajaran

Setelah mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran, peserta didik dapat:
1. Membaca sebuah teks pendek tentang fabel
2. Mencari informasi mengenai teks pendek tentang fabel
3. Membaca cetita fabel kemuadian memilih salah satu untuk di cveritakan kembali di
depan kelas
4. Memahami guneric structure tentang text narrative fabel
5. Mengidentifikasi generic stucture sebuah teks secara berkelompok
6. Membuat sebuah teks fabel pendek sederhana sesuai generic structure berdasarkan
cerita yang di pilih
7. Menceritakan kembali teks tersebut di depan kelas.

1. Fungsi social
Memperoleh hiburan, menghibur dan mengajarkan nilai-nilai luhur melalui cerita dengan
tokoh binatang.
2. Struktur teks
(gagasan utama dan informasi rinci)
a. Memperkenalkan tokoh, tempat, waktu, terjadinya cerita (orientasi).
b. Memaparkan krisis yang terjadi terhadap tokoh utama (komplikasi)
c. Memaparkan akhir cerita, di mana krisis berakhir (resolusi) dengan bahagia atau sedih
d. Memberikan alasan atau komentar umum (reorientasi), opsional.

Tata bahasa: Simple Past tense, Past Continuous Tense

A GREEDY DOG
One day, a greedy dog stole a large piece of tender meat from a butcher’s shop. He grasped
the meat tightly between his teeth and ran home with it.
On the way home, he came to a small bridge over a stream. As he was crossing the bridge, he
looked down and saw his own reflection in the water below; he thought it was another dog
that he saw. In this other dog’s mouth he saw another large piece of meat. “If I can get the
meat from that other dog, I will have two pieces instead of one,” thought the greedy dog. So,
he bent down to get the meat and, as he opened his jaws, the meat fell out and was quickly
lost in the water.
So, in the end, the dog had nothing. He had been punished by his greed.

Lampiran 1 : Student’s Worksheet (Pertemuan I)
A long time ago, there were two animals, Sura and Baya. Sura is a shark and Baya is a
crocodile. They lived in a sea.
One day, Sura and Baya were looking for some food. Suddenly, Baya saw a goat. “Yummy,
this is my lunch,” said Baya.
“No way! This is my lunch. You are greedy” said Sura. Then they fought for the goat. After
several hours, they were very tired.
Feeling tired of fighting, they lived in the different places. Sura lived in the water and Baya
lived in the land. Both of them promised not to cross each other’s territory.
One day, Sura went to the land and looked for some food in the river. He was very hungry
and there was not much food in the sea. Baya was very angry when he knew that Sura broke
the promise.
They fought again. They both hit each other. Sura bit Baya’s tail. Baya did the same to Sura.
He bit very hard until Sura finally gave up and went back to the sea. Baya was very happy.

Lampiran 3 : Skrip video “The Ant and The Dove”
It was a silvery stream flowing in the thick forest. An ant was busy collecting food on the
banks of the river. Suddently, the ant slipped and it fell into the stream. The ant was
struggling for life, moving up and down the stream. “Oh..Help..Help….Oh….I am dying…
Help….” A Dove sitting on a tree saw the ant drowning. “Oh, what a pitiable creature!! I
should do something to save him.” The dove plucked a leaf and threw it down into the
stream. The ant climbed onto it and floated in safety to the bank. “Oh God…Thank you.
Thank you friend…” “You are welcome…”
Days passed. Everyday, the ant used to come to the bank for collecting food. Even the dove
used to give a few nuts to the ant. The ant and the dove became good friends. One day, the
dove was busy cracking nuts, sitting on the tree and the ant was carrying its food to its place.
Suddently, the ant stopped in its tracks after seeing a hunter. The hunter was aiming his arrow
at the dove. “Oh no… I should save my friend. I should do something. The ant bit the hunter
hard in the foot. “Ah..Ohhh…Stupid ant!” The noise caught the attention of the dove. The
dove flew away from the tree. The ant scurried to hide behind a tree. “Shh..I’ve missed the
dove! I should at least killed that stupid ant!” “Hmmm…my friend is saved.” The ant moved
away from its hiding place and was back on duty.
