ABSTRACT
Thesis by Finti Yenefer, NIM. 1911270053, 2024. with the title "Analysis of
Factors Causing Children to Drop Out of School in Babatan Ulu Village, Seginim
District". Tadris Social Sciences Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Tadris,
UINFAS Bengkulu.
The aims of this research are: 1) To determine the factors that influence children
dropping out of school; 2) To determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for
children dropping out of school in Babatan Ulu Village, Seginim District. The
type of research used is a qualitative research method. The data collection
techniques in this research are through observation, interviews and
documentation. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it
can be concluded that: 1) The factor causing teenagers to drop out of school in
Babatan Ulu Village, Seginim District, South Benkulu Regency is because the
economic background of the residents of Babatan Ulu village is on average lower
middle class. It is also known that the residents of Babatan Ulu Village mostly
make their living as gardeners and rice fields, so the results they obtain are
seasonal, so that to meet their daily needs they have to look for part-time work,
where the income is only enough for their daily food needs, whereas There is still
not enough money to pay for children's schooling. Several informants knew that
some were still in elementary school and there were also teenagers in junior high
school. This was proven by the results of interviews with several parents and
village leaders, that the residents of Babatan Ulu village on average worked as
planters and rice fields. For daily food needs, there are sometimes people who
experience shortages, and for their children's needs, they also sometimes
experience shortages, so there is also a shortage of food to meet their needs. 2)
Supporting factors for teenagers dropping out of school include other economic
factors, environmental factors or friends who have not continued school, and
factors from the place or region, namely the Babatan Ulu Village area, most of
which still have lots of gardens and rice fields so that they can work. helping their
parents or also as wages in other people's gardens or rice fields, in other words, if
these teenagers do not continue their education in this village, it is still easy to
earn money. The factors inhibiting teenagers from dropping out of school include:
family economic factors that are still able to pay for their children's school fees,
parental pressure factors that prohibit their children from dropping out of school
and factors from other parties who are able to pay for teenagers' school fees.

skripsi dengan judul " Analisis Faktor Penyebab Anak Putus Sekolah di Desa
Babatan Ulu Kecamatan Seginim ". Shalawat dan Salam semoga tetap
senantiasa dilimpahkan kepada junjungan kita Nabi Muhammad SAW. Penulis
