Menurut KBBI, Sarana adalah segala

sesuatu yang dapat dipakai sebagai alat
dalam mencapai maksud atau tujuan.
Sedangkan prasarana adalah segala sesuatu
yang merupakan penunjang utama
terselenggaranya suatu proses.
Sedangkan secara etimologis (bahasa)
prasarana berarti alat tidak langsung
untuk mencapai tujuan dalam
pendidikan
Jenis-Jenis Sarpras Pendidikan
Menurut keputusan menteri P dan K No 079/ 1975, sarana
pendidikan terdiri dari 3 (tiga) kelompok besar yaitu:

Jenis-jenis prsarana pendidikan di sekolah dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi dua
macam, yaitu sebagai berikut.

Prasarana pendidikan yang

keberadaannya tidak
digunakan untuk proses

 Adapun macam-macam sarana dan prasarana yang di perlukan di sekolah
demi kelancaran dan keberhasilan kegiatan proses pendidikan sekolah adalah:

Ruang kelas. Ruang

Ruang perpustakaan.
Ruang kesenian

Ruang laboratorium
(tempat praktek) Fasilitas olah

Sarana pendidikan didefinisikan sebagai perangkat, peralatan,
bahan, perabot yang secara langsung digunakan dalam proses
pendidikan. Sedangkan Prasarana pendidikan didefinisikan
sebagai perangkat, peralatan, bahan, perabot yang secara tidak
langsung digunakan dalam proses pendidikan
Sarana pendidikan dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga macam,
yaitu berdasarkan habis tidaknya, berdasarkan bergerak tidaknya,
dan berdasarkan hubungan dengan proses pembelajaran. Apabila
dilihat dari habis tidaknya dipakai, ada dua maca, yaitu sarana
pendidikan yang habis dipakai dan sarana pendidikan yang tahan
lama. Apabila dilihat dari bergerak atau tidaknya pada saat
pembelajaran juga ada dua macam, yaitu bergerak dan tidak
bergerak. Sementara jika dilihat dari hubungan sarana tersebut
terhadap proses pembelajaran, ada tiga macam, yaitu alat
pelajaran, alat peraga, dan media pembelajaran
