Berdirinya Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Aviasi Indonesia

Tujuan LSPAI adalah memastikan dan memelihara kompetensi kerja agar mampu bersaing secara global.

LSPAI menerbitkan/membatalkan sertifikat kompetensi profesi, menetapkan tempat uji kompetensi, dan mengusulkan standar baru.

Lisensi Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP) memberikan kesiapan LSPAI melakukan Sertifikasi Kompetensi Profesi Penerbangan.
Kompetensi
Dilatar belakangi oleh lajunya pertumbuhan industri penerbangan Indonesia, serta kebutuhan profesional kompeten, maka Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Aviasi Indonesia (LSPAI) muncul, dan menempatkan diri sebagai mitra kerja Pemerintah dalam memastikan dan memelihara standar kompetensi kerja profesi penerbangan. LSPAI adalah organisasi nirlaba dan independen yang tercatat pada Akte Notaris Risbert, SH. MH. No. 20 di Jakarta tanggal 25 Juli 2007.
Setiap professional dituntut memiliki pengetahuan, ketrampilan, dan sikap kerja yang sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku.
LSPAI dapat; - menetapkan biaya uji kompetensi; - menerbitkan/membatalkan sertifikat; - menetapkan TUK; - mengusulkan standar baru; - sangsi kepada yang melanggar aturan.
Pada saat ini LSPAI telah memiliki; (Lihat Tabel 2 dan 3) STANDAR KOMPETENSI KERJA AVIASI No. Kep-45/BNSP/VIII/2008, yang dapat dipergunakan untuk melakukan uji kompetensi kerja profesi; - Commercial Aeroplane/Helicopter Pilot; - Cabin Crew; - Senior Cabin Crew; - Supervisory Cabin Crew; - Ground Operations & Services*; - Senior Ground Operations & Services*; - Supervisory Ground Operations & Services*. *Catatan: (1) Baggage Handlers, (2) Ramp Service, (3) Aircraft Refuelers, (4) General Airport Operations, and (5) Check In and Customer Service.

STANDAR KOMPETENSI KERJA AVIASI LSPAI adalah presentasi Profesional Penerbangan, sebagai mitra kerja Pemerintah (Regulator) dalam sistem Penerbangan, untuk memastikan dan memelihara Standar Kompetensi Profesi, memenuhi tuntutan Industri Penerbangan. LSPAI melakukan Verifikasi bersama DGCA atas Standar Kompetensi Kerja Aviasi dan Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP) melakukan Validasi atas hasil Verifikasi untuk menjadi Standar Kompetensi Kerja Aviasi.
