 KATA PENGANTAR

Puji syukur kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, yang telah memberikan perlindungan
sehingga saya dapat menyelesaikan tugas laporan ini tepat pada waktunya.

Adapun tujuan dari penyusunan laporan ini adalah untuk memenuhi tugas mata kuliah
Evaluasi Pendidikan. Selain itu, makalah ini juga bertujuan untuk menambah
wawasan tentang analisis butir soal. Semoga laporan ini dapat bermanfaat bagi
semua pihak.

PENDAHULUAN

Keberhasilan pendidikan sangat ditentukan oleh proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengukur

keberhasilan proses pembelajaran diperlukan evaluasi dan proses analisis dari evaluasi. Manfaat
dari analisis evaluasi untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan kelemahan pembelajaran dalam rangka
meningkatkan proses pembelajaran. Karena itu begitu pentingnya guru mengadakan analisis
butir soal (distraktor, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan kualitas soal), validasi dan
reliabilitas instrument.
Hasil dari proses penilaian perlu dilakukan analisis, untuk melihat validitas dan
efektivitas instrument, serta untuk mengetahui kelemahan dan kekuatan proses pembelajaran.
Ada tiga sasaran pokok ketika guru melakukan analisis terhadap hasil belajar, yaitu terhadap
guru, siswa dan prosedur pembelajaran. Fungsi analisis untuk guru terutama untuk mendiagnosis
keberhasilan pembelajaran dan sebagai bahan untuk merevisi dan mengembangkan pembelajaran
dan tes. Bagi siswa, analisis diharapkan berfungsi mengetahui keberhasilan belajar,
mendiagnosa mengoreksi kesalahan belajar, serta Memotivasi siswa belajar lebih baik.
Pelaksanaan penilaian di dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dimaksudkan untuk
mendapatkan informasi tentang sejauh mana keberhasilan guru dalam mengajarkan materi
pembelajaran, serta sejauh mana peserta didik dapat menyerap materi yang diajarkan.
Pencapaian tujuan pendidikan yang dihasilkan oleh siswa dapat dilihat dari penguasaan
materi yang telah diberikan, dan untuk mengetahui keberhasilan atau prestasi siswa perlu
diadakan pengukuran secara cermat dan tepat. Ketepatan dan kecermatan dalam pengukuran
sangat ditentukan oleh bentuk keputusan dan kebijakan dalam pendidikan itu sendiri.
Penilaian terhadap kemajuan belajar siswa dilakukan pada saat proses belajar mengajar
berlangsung melalui tes formatif dan sumatif, sedangkan kegiatan penilaian terhadap hasil
belajar siswa yang telah menyelesaikan jenjang pendidikan melalui ujian akhir. Pada umumnya,
sebelum kegiatan penilaian dilakukan terlebih dahulu memahami langkah-langkah
pengembangan suatu tes, yang meliputi: (1) pengembangan spesifikasi tes, (2) penulisan soal, (3)
penelaahan soal, (4) pengujian butir-butir soal secara empiris, dan (5) administrasi tes bentuk
akhir untuk tujuan-tujuan pembakuan. Penilaian ujicoba mempunyai tujuan untuk melihat sejauh
mana persiapan yang telah dilakukan oleh setiap siswa dalam menghadapi suatu tes dan untuk
mengumpulkan informasi-informasi guna mengetahui kelemahan atau kekurangan bahan
pelajaran yang telah diajarkan.
Untuk menciptakan perangkat tes yang baik, harus berisi butir-butir yang
berkualitas tinggi yang berdasar pada spesifikasi atau kisi-kisi yang jelas, dengan penulisan butir
berdasar pada kaidah-kaidah dan petunjuk penulisan butir yang telah ditentukan disertai dengan
kreativitas, latihan dan pengalaman yang bermanfaat. Penyusunan tes dengan cara ini dianggap
sebagai tes yang theorycally sounds yaiu tes yang secara teoritik sudah dianggap layak. Setiap
tes yang telah disusun, terlebih dahulu harus diuji kualitasnya secara empirik. Butir-butirnya
masih harus diuji dengan menggunakan data yang diperoleh melalui prosedur try-out, atau dari
hasil tes ini diperoleh bukti mengenai kualitas butir-butir tes, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai
dasar untuk melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan yang diperlukan. Prosedur kerja dalam pengujian
butir tes secara empiris ini dinamakan prosedur analisis butir tes.
Pendekatan untuk menganalisis butir tes yang berkembang hingga saat ini terdiri dari dua
pendekatan yaitu pendekatan klasik dan pendekatan modern. Kedua pendekatan ini masing-
masing memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Pendekatan modern muncul sebagai upaya untuk
mengatasi kelemahan pada pendekatan klasik.
 BAB II
PEMBAHASAN

A. Gambaran Umum
ITEM AND TEST ANALYSIS (ITEMAN) merupakan perangkat lunak (software) yang dibuat
melalui bahasa pemrograman komputer dan dibuat khusus untuk analisis butir soal dan tes. Hasil
analisis meliputi: tingkat kesukaran butir soal, daya pembeda soal, statistik sebaran jawaban,
kehandalan/reliabilitas tes, kesalahan pengukuran (standar error), dan distribusi skor serta skor
setiap peserta tes.
Untuk mengistal program ITEMAN cukup dengan mengcopy file ITEMAN.EXE. Untuk
lebih memudahkan dalam melakukan analisis sebaiknya file DATA yang akan dianalisis, file
ITEMAN.EXE dan file hasil analisis ditempatkan dalam satu sub direktori.

B. FORMAT FILE DATA

Langkah pertama dilakukan dengan memasukkan (entry) jawaban siswa (respons) ke dalam
suatu file data dalam bentuk text yang dapat dilakukan melalui klik start-all programs-
accessories-notepad. Data tersebut dapat berupa alphabetic (A,B,C,D,……)
atau numeric (1,2,3,4,….). Kita akan menganalisis butir soal dari suatu Try Out di Sekolah Y
yang terdiri atas 35 butir soal. Data respons siswa dapat diketik ke dalam file data sebagai
berikut:

C. MENJALANKAN PROGRAM
Aktifkan Personal Computer yang kita gunakan, selanjutnya lakukan langkah-langkah
sebagai berikut:
1. Buka aplikasi Iteman 4.3
2. Masukkan data yang akan dianalisis ke dalam Data Matrix file
3. Masukkan kunci jawaban ke dalam Item Control file
4. Beri nama file output
5. Klik Run.

D. Hasil Analisis Data

Hasil dari analisis ITEMAN ini berupa dua file yaitu file statistik dan file skor. Keduanya
berupa file ASCII yang dapat dilihat dengan menggunakan program pengolah kata (word
procesor).

Statistik hasil analisis ITEMAN dapat dibedakan ke dalam 2 bagian yaitu: (a) statistik butir
soal dan (b) statistik tes/skala. Berikut menunjukkan hasil analisis statistik butir soal dan hasil
analisis statistik tes/skala :

d. Kualitas Pengecoh (Prop)

Sebuah pengecoh dikatakan berfungsi baik jika paling sedikit dipilih oleh 5% (0.05) pengikut tes.

Catatan:
Ditinjau dari tujuan pelaksanaan tes, perlu diperhatikan bahwa soal yang terlalu mudah atau
terlalu sukar mungkin memang kurang memberikan informasi yang berguna bagi peserta tes
pada umumnya, di antaranya kemungkinan karena belum berfungsinya pengecoh dengan baik,
namun demikian pada soal yang terlalu mudah atau terlalu sukar ini, apabila Pengecohnya
berfungsi dengan baik yakni Prop Endorsing memenuhi ( >0,05 ) serta daya pembedanya negatif
maka soal tersebut masih memenuhi untuk diterima, terlebih kalau memang soal tersebut akan
digunakan untuk seleksi yang sifatnya sangat menentukan.
Suatu soal kadang–kadang dikategorikan ke dalam keadaan ekstrem sukar yaitu apabila p
mendekati nol atau ekstrem mudah yaitu apabila p mendekati 1.
Soal yang ekstrem mudah atau soal yang ekstrem sukar tidak memberikan informasi yang
berguna bagi sebagian besar peserta tes. Oleh sebab itu soal seperti ini kemungkinan distribusi
jawaban pada alternatif jawaban ada yang tidak memenuhi syarat. Sekalipun soal terlalu sukar
atau terlalu mudah apabila setiap pengecoh (distribusi jawaban) pada soal tersebut menunjukkan
kondisi distribusi jawaban merata atau distribusi jawabannya logis dan daya pembedanya negatif
(kecuali kunci) maka soal-soal tersebut masih memenuhi syarat untuk diterima. Sekalipun soal
terlalu sukar atau terlalu mudah namun apabila memiliki daya pembeda dan statistik pengecoh
memenuhi kriteria maka soal tersebut dapat dipilih dan diterima sebagai salah satu alternatif
untuk disimpan dalam bank soal.
Apabila soal ekstrem mudah atau ekstrem sukar serta daya pembeda dan statistik pengecohnya
belum memenuhi kriteria maka soal tersebut perlu direvisi dan diujicoba lagi.
Daya pembeda soal berfungsi untuk menentukan dapat tidaknya suatu soal membedakan
kelompok dalam aspek yang diukur sesuai dengan perbedaan yang ada pada kelompok itu.
Tujuan dari pengujian daya pembeda adalah untuk melihat kemampuan butir soal dalam
membedakan antara peserta didik yang berkemampuan tinggi dengan peserta didik yang
berkemampuan rendah. Korelasi point biserial maupun korelasi biserial adalah korelasi product
moment yang diterapkan pada data, variabel yang dikorelasikan masing-masing bersifat berbeda
satu sama lain. Variabel soal bersifat dikotomi sedangkan variabel skor total bersifat kontinum.
Variabel soal dikotomi karena skor pada soal hanya ada nol dan satu. Variabel skor total bersifat
kontinum yang diperoleh dari jumlah jawaban yang benar.

BAB III
KESIMPULAN

Berdasarkan analisis butir soal Matematika Ujian Akhir MAN 2 Mataram Paket A ruang
III dan IV yang terdiri atas 40 butir soal maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa menurut hasil
analisis ITEMAN, terdapat 4 soal memiliki kategori mudah kemudian 29 soal berkategori sedang
dan 7 soal berkategori sulit.
Dari hasil analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan program ITEMAN seperti ini dapat
berimplikasi dalam bidang pendidikan, akan sangat membantu dan mempermudah dalam
pengadaan bank soal yang berkualitas, khususnya ditingkat daerah kabupaten dan kota.
Disamping itu pula dapat membantu dan mempermudah mengintrospeksi diri pembuat soal guna
memahami kekurangan atau kelemahan dalam pembuatan soal.
