 Pengertian Analisis Kovarian

Analisis kovarian (anakova) atau analysis of covariance  merupakan

analisis gabungan dari analisis regresi dengan analisis anava. Perbedaan
antara anava dengan anakova adalah bahwa analisis pada anava terbatas
pada pengujian perbandingan, sedangkan analisis anakova membandingkan
sekaligus menghubungkan. Prosedur analisis kovarian dilakukan dengan
melibatkan satu atau lebih variabel atau lebih variabel konkomitan/kovariat.

TUJUAN
Mendapatkan kemurnian pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel
dependen, Mengontrol kondisi awal sebelum penelitian, Mengontrol
variabel luar yang secara teoritis akan mempengaruhi hasil penelitian.
Analisis kovarian dibagi menjadi dua:

Ankova satu jalur Ankova dua jalur

Perbedaan keduanya hanya terletak pada jumlah variabel

konkomitan yang dimasukan. Anakova satu jalur hanya
menggunakan satu kovariat saja, sedangkan dalam analisis
kovariat dua jalur melibatkan dua kovariat atau lebih
Beberapa pengertian variabel yang akan digunakan dalam
Anakova antara lain:
1. Kriterium, adalah variabel Dependen (Y) yaitu variabel yang
dipengaruhi
2. Kovariabel, disebut juga dengan variabel kendali, variabel
control, yang diberi lambang X
3. Factor yaitu sebutan untuk variabel Independen atau variabel
eksperimental yang ingin diketahui pengaruhnya
Asumsi yang harus dipenuhi dalam ANAKOVA adalah:

1. Data berdistribusi normal

2. varianss dalam kelompok homogeny
3. bentuk regresi linear
4. koefisien arah regresi tidak sama dengan nol
5. koefisien arah regresi homogen.
Rumus yang digunakan dalam Menghitung ANCOVA

Menghitung Sumber Variasi Total (Residu) Menghitung Sumber Variasi dalam ( JK dal.residu)
3. Menghitung Sumber Variasi Antar (JK Antar )

4. Menghitung derajat kebebasan

JKA= Jumlah Kuadrat antar A
JKdal= jumlah kuadrat dalam residu
dbA= Derajat bebas antar A
dbdal=derajat bebas dalam residu
RJKA= Rerata jumlah kuadrat antar A
RJKdal= Rerata jumlah kuadrat dalam residu
Kriteria Pengujian:

Jika Fhitung > Ftabel, Maka Ho ditolak

dan Jika Fhitung < Ftabel, Maka Ho diterima
Atau Jika angka Sig.>0.05 maka H0 diterima,
dan Jika angka Sig.< 0.05 maka H0 ditolak
 Contoh Kasus

Seorang peneliti ingin melihat pengaruh penggunaan Pendekatan

Pembelajaran yaitu Pendekatan Konstekstual, Pendekatan
Konstruktivisme, dan Pendekatan Scientific terhadap hasil belajar
(HB) siswa SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda. Ketiga pendekatan
pembelajaran tersebut sudah ditetapkan/dipilih oleh guru dan bukan
dari pilihan acak (fixed by design). Penelitian dilakukan pada 3
kelas, sebanyak 45 siswa. Dalam kenyataannya, terdapat faktor
intrinsik yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa, yaitu
pengetahuan awal siswa (PA).
