Management theory has a role (role) or helps explain organizational behavior related
to motivation, productivity, and satisfaction. The characteristics of management
theory can be broadly stated: referring to empirical experience, there is a connection
between one theory and another, recognizing the possibility of rejection. Based on the
approach, management theory is divided into 3, namely: classical, neo- classical and
modern theory. According to the classical theory that humans are rational, think
logically, and work according to the commands given by the manager (manager).
Neo-classical theory is that humans are social and like self-actualization, so
communication, collaboration and interacting with others are goals in organization.
While modern theory is a theory that is based on human behavior to be situational.
This means that humans adjust to the situation at hand and make decisions according
to environmental conditions and conditions.
