ABSTRACT
The lemon (Citrus aurantifolia) is one of the plants belonging to the Rutaceae family in the genus Citrus. The compound
that this plant has is flavonoids, saponins, and essential oil. Flavonoids are reported to have antioxidant activity, antiviral,
anticancer, and bioinsecticide. The Jawan weed (Echinochloa cruss-galli) was one of cosmopolite and was able to associate
with several crops of cultivation mainly rice, corn, coffee, sugarcane, tea, tobacco, and oranges. Crops fail when unchecked.
The study aims to identify the potential extract of lemon leaves (Citrus aurantifolia) as a natural bioherbicide against the
growth of the Jawan grass weed (Echinochloa cruss-galli) and also determine the optimal concentration of the (Citrus
aurantifolia) that is effective as a biographer of the jawan grass weed (Echinochloa crusia). Lemon extract (Citrus
aurantifolia) obtained by a multistory extraction method. The concentration variations of a lemon extract (Citrus
aurantifolia) include 1.5%, 3%, 4.5%, 6% and 7.5% while negative control uses aquades. Data recovered from the number
of leaves and height plants, and analyzed with anova one way later continued by a tally of the Duncan method software
SPSS 23. A 7.5% concentration of lemon extract (Citrus aurantifolia) is most effective with an average growth barrier of
5.5±19 and 0.6±3,8 growths on the number of leaves.
