Site:
Tersebar luas, sering terjadi pada keempat kuadran (baik edentulous maupun dentulous) tetapi
seringnya berhubungan dengan apeks gigi.
Size:
Bervariatif, tapi biasanya lesi masing-masing berdiameter lebih dari 2 cm.
Shape:
Lesi multipel, bulat sering menyatu.
Outline:
Halus tapi lobular, tepinya well-defined tapi sedang dan ireguler, terkadang terkortikasi.
 Gambaran Radiografi Lesi FCOD

Radiodensity:
• Early stage: radiolusen multipel
• Intermediate stage: radiolusen multipel dengan secara bertahap bercak radioopak bagian dalam meningkat.
• Late stage: terdapat beberapa lesi radioopak yang padat tidak beraturan disertai lesi individual, terkadang
dikelilingi oleh garis radiolusen tipis.

Effects:
• Pada gigi yang berdekatan, tidak mengalami perpindahan, tidak teresorbsi, biasanya masih vital.
• Terkadang dapat menyebabkan perluasan atau pembesaran rahang yang terdampak lesi.
• Dapat dikaitkan dengan low grade osteomyelitis.
 Diagnosis Banding

Paget’s Disease Chronic Sclerosing Osteomyelitis

• Kelainan tulang displastik kronis
yang mempengaruhi 1/lebih area
tulang
• Lesi yang terjadi: well defined
dikelilingi tepi radiolusen + garis
sklerotik -> membantu DD/
• Lesi osteomyelitis -> ekspansi tulang
rahang (dari periosteoum)
• Gambaran khas radiografi: Patchy, tulang
sklerotik yang kadang menggambarkan
“cotton wool”, Lesi radioopaknya
nampak ekstensif.
 Diagnosis Banding

Garder Syndrome Periapical Cemento-Osseous Dysplasia

• Lesinya terkadang muncul terisolasi atau
banyak -> DD/ Lesi Cemento-osseous
• Lesi rahang osteomatosa biasanya meluas,
ada osteoma pada sinus orbita ethmoidalis,
odontoma, gigi impaksi, tumor desmoid
abdominal,
• Lesi terjadi di dekat ligament periodontal
area apeks gigi.
• Banyak kasus terjadi secara multipel.
• Lesi PCOD memiliki gambaran radiologi
yang berbeda pada setiap tahapnya.

Nyeri tumpul, sekresi
● Bedah yang luas
mukosa purulent,
Simtomatik ● saucerization
ekspansi rahang
