RENCANA PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN (RPP)

Alokasi Waktu : 2 x 30 Menit per pertemuan (2 kali pertemuan)

3. Peserta didik dapat menggunakan kalimat deklaratif dan interogatif Simple Past
Tense dengan benar
4. Peserta didik dapat menggunakan kata kerja Regular dan irregular verb dengan
benar.
5. Peserta didik dapat membuat kalimat sederhana menggunakan Simple Past Tense
dengan benar.

 Pernyataan memberi informasi: I ate bread yesterday, Beni went to Jogja last
week, etc.
 Menanyakan informasi: Did Beni go to Jogja last week?, Did you eat bread

 Nomina singular dan plural dengan atau tanpa a, the, this, those, my, their,etc.
 Keterangan waktu lampau: yesterday, last night, this morning, last holiday, etc.
 Ucapan, tekanankata, intonasi, ejaan, tanda baca, dantulisan tangan.

Kegiatan, tindakan yang (rutin) terjadi di masa lalu di sekolah, rumah, dan sekitarnya
yang dapat menumbuhkan perilaku yang termuat di KI.

Media Pembelajaran : Video (diambil dari Youtube, dalam video terdapat contoh
kalimat Simple Past Tense), Powerpoint slides (berisi penjelasan
materi Simple Past Tense)

G. LANGKAH-LANGKAH PEMBELAJARAN
1. Kegiatan Pendahuluan (10 Menit)
1. Siswa menjawab salam guru.
2. Siswa berdoa dipimpin oleh guru untuk memulai pelajaran.
3. Siswa melakukan absensi melalui whatsapp grup, google meet, atau media
daring lainnya.
4. Siswa menjawab pertanyaan guru mengenai apa yang telah siswa lakukan kemarin
malam.
5. Siswa menyimak informasi guru mengenai kompetensi yang akan
dicapai dan manfaatnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
6. Siswa menyimak guru menyampaikan garis besar cakupan materi dan
kegiatan yang akan dilakukan.
7. Siswa menyimak guru menyampaikan lingkup penilaian, dan teknik
penilaian yang akan digunakan.

A. BUILDING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FIELD

What did you do yesterday? What did you studied last night? When you tell someone
about your past activity, it means you have use simple past tense form and produce the
simple past tense sentences. But, do you know the exactly the function of this Simple
Past tense?

B. MODELLING OF THE TEXT

The simple past tense is used to talk about a completed action in a time before now.
The simple past is the basic form of past tense in English. The time of the action can be in
the recent past or the distant past and action duration is not important.

1. I started my primary school when I was seven years old and finished when I was
twelve. I also walked to school, because my school was only 200 meters from my
home. I went to school with my brother or with my friends. Sometimes my dad took

2. I learned to ride my bycycle in the school yard in the afternoon after the school. And
then I could ride in the small streets in the neighbourhood, with my friends. My
friends and I often spent hours chatting in the small garden near the kelurahan office.

at that time. It is very dirty now.
