Teknologi Herbal

Definisi
• Technology is the making, modification, usage,
and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques,
systems in order to solve a problem, improve a
preexisting solution to a problem, achieve a goal
or perform a specific function.
• Herbs are any plants " including fruits,
leaves, roots, flowers, seeds, resin, root bark,
inner bark, and other portions of the plant as
used in herbs medicine.
Herbs Technology (Teknologi herbal)
• is the making, modification, usage, and knowledge of
herbs that can be used to maintain healthiness, food
supplements as well as treat human diseases.

• Tujuan Mata Kuliah Teknologi Herbal :


Mengenal tanaman herbal, mempelajari
cara memproses dan menggunakannya
untuk menjaga kesehatan dan mengobati
penyakit (Mengenal Phytochemical).
Silabus Teknologi Herbal
Mata Kuliah Teknologi Herbal meliputi:
1. Pengenalan, perkembangan dan penggunaan bahan alam
(herbal) sebagai bahan obat
2. Keanekaragaman bahan obat herbal dan kandungan zat
aktifnya,
3. Identifikasi dan karakterisasi sifat fisika, kimia dan
biologi bahan herbal
4. Pengenalan teknik pemisahan dan purifikasi herbal
5. Pengujian khasiat bahan herbal dan toksikologinya,
6. Formulasi sediaan obat
7. Studi kasus: penggunaan herbal dalam pengobatan.
Penilaian:
1. UTS, Quiz, Test class, UAS
2. Assignment (review artikel, ringkasan)
3. Studi kasus (presentasi, makalah)
4. Kunjungan pabrik

Peraturan:
1. Kehadiran minimal 75%
2. Hadir tepat waktu, terlambat maksimum
15menit (ada test class utk tambahan nilai)
3. Bertingkah laku sopan di dalam kelas (contoh
tidak sopan: satu kaki dinaikkan ke kaki yang
lain shg sepatu sejajar dgn kursi)
4. Tidak boleh menggunakan HP, dilarang
menggunakan sendal di dalam kelas
5. Tidak boleh makan di dalam kelas.

Philosophy-The Germ theory of Disease:
• Antonie van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723) was first who see
bacteria/microbe.
• Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) was the founder of the Germ
Theory of Disease.
• Micro organism enter the body in number of ways.
• Specific diseases are caused by specific micro- organism.
• Natural immunity is an inherited resistance to infection.
