Cara kerja
1. siapkan bahan makanan (nasi,tahu/tempe,telur, margarin, susu), agar proses berjalan cepat,
maka proses mekanisnya dikerjakan dengan cara menghaluskan bahan makanan yang
masih kasar dengan mortar dan pistil
2. Ambil bahan makanan masing-masing sejuput, letakan dalam cawan petri (jangan sampai
tercampur), sedangkan bahan makanan dalam bentuk cair, dimasukkan ke dalam tabung
reaksi sebanyak kira-kira mencapai 0,5 cm
3. Tambahkan ke dalam cawan petri dan tabung reaksi yang berisi sejuput bahan makanan 6
tetes larutan lugol,
4. Biarkan beberapa saat, lalu amati perubahan yang terjadi. Jika terjadi perubahan warna
menjadi ungu kehitamam, maka bahan makanan tersebut mengandung amilum
