PROCEDURE TEXT

Procedure atau prosedur adalah cara melakukan sesuatu, terutama cara yang umum atau
benar. Sedangkan berdasar yang dikutip dari Merriam-Webster, procedure is a particular
way of accomplishing something or of acting. Prosedur adalah cara tertentu untuk
menyelesaikan sesuatu atau bertindak. Commands (Imperative Sentences): Dapat
disimpulkan, procedure text adalah salah satu jenis teks bahasa Inggris yang di
dalamnya memuat cara atau langkah-langkah melakukan sesuatu. Kita biasa
menemukan jenis teks ini pada kemasan makanan, obat, benda-benda elektronik, resep
makanan, dan lain-lain. Tujuan dari teks prosedur adalah untuk menjelaskan langkah-
langkah dalam melakukan suatu kegiatan tertentu.

Struktur procedure text

Dalam membuat suatu procedure text, ada struktur yang perlu diperhatikan, yaitu:
1. Goal/aim (tujuan). Umumnya dalam procedure text, tujuan sudah dicantumkan pada
judul atau headline. Contohnya: How to Make Simple Fried Rice / Cara Membuat Nasi
Goreng Sederhana.

2. Materials (bahan)
Kita bisa menggunakan kata-kata seperti materials, tools, atau ingredients ketika
menyebutkan apa saja yang diperlukan untuk melakukan sebuah prosedur. Jika procedure text
menyangkut tentang makanan atau minuman, biasanya kita menyebutnya “ingredients”.
Sedangkan ketika menyangkut peralatan atau sejenisnya, kita bisa menggunakan “tools and
materials”.
Contohnya:
 Ingredients: garlics, shallots, chilies, eggs / Bahan: bawang putih, bawang merah, telur
 Tools and materials: scissor, ruler, colored paper, glue / Alat dan bahan: gunting,
penggaris, kertas warna, lem.

3. How to Make Simple Fried Rice Ingredients:
 A bowl of white rice
 an egg
 2 cloves garlic
 2 cloves shallots
 1 teaspoon salt
 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
 Half a cup fried chicken slices
 5 red chilies
 2 tablespoons cooking oil
 1 sausage, sliced
 2 slices tomato
 2 slices cucumber
Steps:
1. Blend garlics, shallots, chilies, and salt until smooth.
2. Heat cooking oil on pan. Add the blended ingredients and sauté for a while.
3. Crack an egg on pan, stir it for seconds.
4. Add rice and sweet soy sauce. Stir well.
5. Add sliced chicken and sausage. Stir well again.
6. Turn off the stove and move the rice to the plate.
7. Add the slices of cucumber and tomato.
8. Serve while hot.

How to Make Balado Eggs

TELUR BALADO
Ingredients

 6 eggs
 1.5 liter of water
 100 ml of water
 250 ml of oil for sauting
 Fine Ingredients
 3 cloves of garlic
 6 cloves of onion
 10 red chilies
 5 curly red chilies
 1 grain of hazelnut, roasted
 2 tomatoes, dumped seeds
 1 teaspoon chicken broth powder
 2 tablespoon soy sauce
Instruction

1. First, puree all seasonings, included chicken broth powder and soy sauce with
a blender.
2. Heat the water in the pan until it boils, then add the eggs.
3. Boil for 7 minutes.
4. Drain then saok in cold water for 5 minutes.
5. Peel the eggs.
6. Heat the oil in a skillet on medium heat.
7. Fried eggs that have been peeled until the outside is yellowish.
8. Then, drain well the eggs
9. Next, saute all seasonings with 3 tablespoons of oil until fragrant.
10. Add fried eggs, stir until mix well.
11. Add soy sauce and water.
12. Cook until the seasoning is absorbsed.
13. Serve with parsley leaves.
