Abstract: Occlusion is important aspect related to the process of chewing, swallowing and speaking. Occlusion is
contact between lower and upper teeth. This contact will result a pressure which is then forwarded to
the periodontal tissues. When this excess pressure can injure the periodontal tissue. Traumatic from
occlusion is defined as damage of periodontal tissue, which is a result of the burden of excessive
occlusion, causing pain or discomfort. A 51 years old woman came to RSGM Unair with complained
rocking and uncomfortable when chewing. examination results obtained many periodontal pocket dan
tooth mobility. A comprehensive treatments include SRP, Splinting, occlusal adjust and periodontal
curettage has been given. This case report aims to know effect of trauma from occlusion on periodontal
disease.
