ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan unutuk (1)Bagaimana latar belakang munculnya Seni
Barong Ket sebagai seni pertunjukan, (2)Bagaimana sistem pementasan Barong
Ket sebagai seni pertunjukan di Desa Batubulan, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali, (3) Nilai -
nilai apa saja yang terdapat dalam Barong Ket sebagai seni pertunjukan di Desa
Batubulan, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali yang dapat dipergunakan sebagai sumber
pembelajaran sejarah. Dalam penelitian ini,menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah
dengan tahap- tahap (1)Heuristik (Teknik Penentuan Informan, Teknik Observasi,
Teknik Wawancara, Teknik Studi Dokumen) (2)Kritik Sumber,( Kritik Internal, Kritik
Eksternal), (3)Interpretasi, (4)Historiografi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan,
yakni: (1)latar belakang munculnya Seni Barong Ket sebagai seni pertunjukan
adalah perubahan tari Barong Ket yang awalnya disakralkan berubah menjadi tari
profan yang khusus disuguhkan untuk wisatawan, (2)sistem pementasan Barong
Ket sebagai seni pertunjukan di Desa Batubulan diawali dengan menghaturkan
sesajen/canang di areal Stage, penari dan penabuh berias sebelum pementasan
dimulai, pementasan Barong Ket terdiri dari lima babak, (3)Nilai-nilai apa saja yang
terdapat dalam Barong Ket sebagai seni pertunjukan di Desa Batubulan, Sukawati,
Gianyar, Bali yang dapat dipergunakan sebagai sumber pembelajaran sejarah
adalah Nilai Hiburan, Nilai Religius, Nilai Mempertebal Rasa Solidaritas So sial, Nilai
Komunikasi, Nilai Estetika, Nilai Ekonomi.

ABSRACT
This study aims to (1) How the background of the emergence of Barong Ket
Art as the performing arts, (2)W hat about Barong Ket performance system as
performing arts in Batubulan Village, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali, (3)W hat values are
contained in Barong Ket as performing arts in Batubulan Village, Sukawati, Gianyar,
Bali that can be used as a source of historical learning. In this study, using
historical research methods with stages (1)Heuristics (Determination Techniques
Informants, Observation Techniques, Interview Techniques, Engineering Document
Studies)(2) Source Criticism, (Internal Criticism, External Criticism), (3)
Interpretation, (4) Historiography. This research produces the findings, namely: (1)
the background of the emergence of Art Barong Ket as the performing arts is a
change of Barong Ket dance that was originally sacred turned into a profane dance
that is specially served for tourists, (2)Barong Ket staging system as performance
art in Batubulan Village begins with the offering of the offerings in the Stage area,
dancers and singers berias before the staging begins, Barong Ket stagi ng consists
of five rounds, (3)(3) W hat values are contained in Barong Ket as performing arts in
Batubulan Village, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali that can be used as a source of history
learning is Value of Entertainment, Religious Value, Value of Social Solidarity,
Communication Value, Aesthetic Value , Economic Value.
