DNA isolation is the process of ingesting DNA from where it is located (extraction or llisis is usually done by
homogenization and addition of extraction or lysis to prevent DNA from being damaged. Methods used in
source, age, and sample size. It aims to present separate DNA in the cell nucleus from other cellular
components. DNA isolation usually begins with lysis or damage to cell tissue. Dna extraction can be done by a
simple method (kitchen method) using NaCl, detergent, and ethanol that will produce DNA precipitation in the
solution. The practicum was conducted at the end of March 2021 at the Microbiology Laboratory, Department
of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. The source of tools and
materials used in this practicum is obtained from shops and markets around Parang Tambung, Kec. Tamalate,
Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The results showed the presence of threads or FILAMENT DNA from
Watermelon Fruit (Citrullus lunatus), Banana Fruit (Musa paradisiaca), Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus)
and Kiwi Fruit (Actinidia deliciosa) that have been isolated and settle hovering at the top of the solution in the
test tube.
