of Class VIII Students at MTs Nurul Huda Suci Sugio Lamongan for the 2021/2022
Academic Year. Thesis, Al-Fattah Siman-Lamongan Tarbiyah School of Science.
The background of the problem in this research is As from the results of an interview with a
Fiqh teacher, Mr. Zainal Abidin, S.Pd.I at MTs Nurul Huda Suci he said “the time available
to receive Fiqh teaching is very limited, which is only 2 x 60 minutes in a week. A week,
while the material that must be given is a lot, especially during this pandemic student interest
in learning decreases because in this pandemic period students are required to go to online
schools or commonly known as distance learning (online) this greatly triggers a lack of
student interest in learning where their learning time is less effective and difficult to control.
(fiqh subject teacher). The type of research that the researcher uses is field research. As for
the writing of this proposal, the research approach used is a qualitative approach. With data
collection techniques by observation, interviews, documentation. The results showed:
1. Efforts made by fiqh teachers in increasing student interest in learning in various ways, one
example of teacher efforts is to use methods as effective as possible and as attractive as
possible so that students are interested in learning, teachers always provide direction, advice,
varied methods to increase student interest in learning class VIII MTs Nurul Huda Suci.
2. Obstacles and solutions faced by fiqh teachers to increase interest in learning, one of which
during the current pandemic is the limitation of quotas for students to be able to effectively
follow lessons and solutions made by fiqh teachers by not giving assignments only through
online media but also some are done at home and collected at school so there is no reason for
students not to study at home even though they do not have a quota. However, from the
efforts made by the teacher, only 30% of students did it, the rest gave many reasons for not
doing the task given earlier. The conclusion of this study is the efforts of Fiqh teachers in
increasing student interest in learning at Mts Nurul Huda Suci by providing advice,
motivation, and method variations.
